Had dinner yesterday, 3-21-25, with my wife, our adult daughter and her husband. As Gaylord locals we have been longtime intermittent customers. Unfortunately, things have not improved. Three of us had the Friday cod special. The heavy thick coating on the deep-fried cod was terrible. I scraped most of the coating off, which left a lot less fish. Our daughter noticed lipstick still on the rim of her freshly poured glass of wine from the previous customer. Although it was replaced, no offer to comp that glass was made. We all ordered salads, but one of us did not receive the slaw that was part of the Friday fish special. There were many times in years past that we enjoyed dining at Michaywe Inn the Woods, but this was not one of them. Our server was pleasant enough but reeked of tobacco after taking a break. Will be at least a year before we go back. Disappointed.
