My wife and I are visiting Gaylord from Lapeer and had to stop in to the Iron Pig. I asked for outside seating and Katie had no problem sitting us out there even though everyone else was inside. Katie made my drink perfectly. Prefect food
First trip to the new location on old 127. Beautiful building with much more space. Same great staff and smoked meat. The staff made accommodations for our high school basketball team with 11 members on Sunday afternoon. We stop every year on the way home from basketball team camp
This is probably not a good place to go if you're celiac since it seems everything is cooked in the same fryer and the person who took our order was unsure about gluten in seasonings, but they had a lot of gluten friendly options and the food is very good. I had pulled pork platter and they let me sub out cornbread. Hubby said his cornbread and loaded mac brisket were delish. Didn't feel the best after so likely some seasoning has gluten in it, but the food was low key...
