I’m here on vacation from the UK and was a bit surprised when I entered the restaurant just how basic it was inside. Back home Indian restaurants tend to be reasonably plush and colourful. Service was fine and quick and we ordered appetisers and mains. I wasn’t too keen on the chicken pakora but the onion bhajis were good. I had chicken tikka masala for my main, there was loads of rice with it and plenty of sauce with chicken. It was just a bit too sweet though...
Very delicious. The dishes lean Nepali, combining Indian, Tibetan, & Himalayan flavors w/ fresh vegetables, lentils, & warm spices. Strong masala tea (chai) was a real treat. Conscientious chef & sweet server as well. Will be back. Oh! The mango lassi was made fresh--one of the best I've had in the states. Lucky to have this spot in West Michigan.
Although very simple and minimal with interior design, this is hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. I grew up in a town where a lot of students that went to the University there that came from India so I've had Indian home cooked meals before. This place is just as good if not better than what I've had in the past. It's my new favorite restaurant for sure!
