Disappointing dinner at Porto Bello. There were 8 of us at dinner and half of the group didn't like their food. That is pretty disappointing. I had the Italian sliced beef sandwich. It was not good at all. The au ju sauce that came with it seemed like a vegetable soup- odd and not what i was expecting. The Hawaiian pizza was not good either. I visited while passing through town on vacation. I was a little worried reading some of the reviews, but decided to try it just because of the cool piano factory setting. Food was excellent. I had the Chicken Carpiccio. Breading on the chicken was light. The combo of basil, tomatoes, & balsamic was excellent. I knocked a star off only because the wine list is a little pedestrian. Serviceable, but not the best wine list I've encountered at an Italian restaurant. Overall...
Service was inattentive and the food was just okay. Been a long time since we ate here, was a bit disappointed, especially since they did not appear busy. We got the pizza and pasta and meatballs. Pizza was good. Had full mushrooms which I have never seen before. Hubby got the pasta and wasnt a huge fan of the noodles they use.
