“The short of it? This place is great. Amazing staff. Delicious treats. Great cocoa/coffee/hot cider. And awesome selection of gifts. Can't wait to visit again. The long story- this place was so great that my mother in law left her wallet there just for an excuse to come back the next day 😂. Only half kidding. But she did forget her wallet. I got in touch with the owner. And they were so excited to see us the next day with hot cinnamon rolls ready for us. You guys are awesome!“

“Love this place! The ice cream is delicious and is the main reason for an overnight in Grand Marais on our way downstate. There are some other UP towns where you can find this ice cream, but not after Labor Day. The Sherpa Shack was still open in mid-September, but with limited hours. Service was really friendly, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. You can even get a flight of ice cream flavors if you can't decide!“
