My family and I went on vacation to Grand Marais over Labor Day weekend and my son wanted to try a new ice cream spot. So we decided to go with this one and we were not disappointed. They're raspberry Rhapsody was amazing. My son was absolutely obsessed with their old fashioned vanilla, and their Banana splits were ginormous. As someone with Celiac disease visiting the UP from Detroit, finding Sherpa Shack was such a great surprise!

The staff was incredibly accommodating with all of my questions, and I was so excited to find out they even have gluten-free sugar cones! The cones are stored in a SEPARATE container away from the other to prevent cross contamination. The best spot! Love that there are different flavors than most places and the owner takes care to ensure quality product. Really nice seating areas to enjoy the ice cream outside. I had a watermelon Italian ice that had a slight bit of sour, it was amazing! I'd eat that everyday if I could. Good portions, definitely recommend!!
