Applebee's Grill + Bar

Construction was going on while I was there for lunch and VERY loud. I couldn't even hear the person sitting across the table from me talking. For some reason, we were seated right next to the construction area rather than on the other side of the restaurant...the server was very unclean in his dress and actually had gunk or something on his teeth as he was talking to us. Definitely won't be back. Sorry.

Applebees is always a classic for "fine dining." Food is good, however some consider it slightly overpriced.
I enjoy the Shark Bowl drink. Though a lot of the times they don't seem to have the gummy sharks to put in them. Last week I got a gummy strawberry in my Shark Bowl instead of a Shark!
It was still good though!

The new promotion of the chicken sandwich meal deal brought me in today to give it a try. I have to say it was probably the largest piece of chicken I've ever had on a bun. The seasoning and breading was just right, not too much not too little. The chicken was juicy. The fries were well seasoned. I'm not always a chain guy when it comes to restaurant choices but this is a good value for $9.99. It even comes with a soda. I don't know how long though keep it going, but you might want to stop in and give it a try. It surely gives Popeyes and Chick-fil-A a run for their money on the best chicken sandwich in my mind.

Understaffed, we waited over an hour, and our order wasn't correct. They didn't think to discount it either. It had been several years since I've been to Applebees and quickly remembered why! There are many other restaurants nearby with much better food and service:
Broadleaf brewery, Ucellos, and Buddy's Pizza, to name a few.

Saturday night we arrived at 5:10. The restaurant was not even half full. The hostess didn’t greet us but eventually came and told us it would be a 10 minute wait. Meanwhile, more and more people came and the lobby area was full and no names were taken and no one was seated. Finally at 5:30 we left along with many others.

Food was delicious! Served was so sweet!
