Great selection of well crafted English style ales, draft and cask conditioned. Food is great and the service has always been first rate. Love to sit at the wood bar which feels like hanging out in someone’s home bar in the basement in the 70’s. Brass Ring is a must visit anytime I’m in the Grand Rapids area.

Great experience. Drove from flint. The food is amazing and staff is friendly and personable. Rooney is an amazing amount of friendly and comic relief. Food was great also!

Great beer options. We also got the beer cheese and pretzels which were excellent. Our server Roonie was very knowledgeable about all of their offerings. We will be sure to stop back in for dinner sometime.

Worst service EVER

Brass Ring is a great bar/restaurant. I don’t drink personally, but people love their beer; I love their food and the people there. While it is small in size, the atmosphere is so fun, festive, cute, in an upscale, chill way. The menu is AMAZING, they have local and seasonal items, several vegan options including vegan “meats” and burgers. The staff is exceptional. They treat their employees like family. It can get a bit loud, but it’s never too much.. it’s a really fun atmosphere. The food is on the pricier end but it is worth it, it’s so delicious. They host a lot of sport team and neighborhood meetups and it is locally owned and operated. The owners are there most nights. Very cool place with delicious food & drinks.

I wandered in kind of randomly, but I'm really glad I did.

The folks were super friendly. The food was competent and true to expectations. About the only thing I didn't like was the fries, which were tiny and a little burned. My partner would have loved them, though, so I'll call that a matter of taste.

Adding it to my list of places worth visiting again!

Diamond in the rough

First timer…..overall drinks and apps were good. My dinner was super good but the other two with me were very disappointed. The reason for 2 stars is because the service was horrible. He was nice but the time it took to do things was unacceptable. As a bartender/server myself I get how things go and I give a lot of grace but there was no excuse for the slow service. Let me add the other server was sitting at his tables taking orders. What???? Not ok.

It's a unique English style bar with a wonderful choice of beer and tasty food. Highlight of the visit is our server Ryan. He is kind, knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth and full of happiness and good will toward the customers. 10 stars out of 5.
