Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. The seasoning is perfect. The fries are sweet and savory. The chicken and shrimp are both seasoned to perfection. Very fresh when it comes out even though it is all deep fried. It’s all very amazing. The only reason i will not give it 5 stars is the wait time. We waited over an hour for the food, but when you finally receive the food, it’s almost worth all of the waiting. I wish I could give them 5 stars because the way they season their food is addicting, but I’ve picked up orders for DoorDash here as well and they always have the same wait time. Again, fantastic food and worth the price.

Cleanliness of. Lobby can be better. ? Pop/soda machine is a turn-off...cooks should have heads covered and plastic gloves on hands...Food is always cooked good ... ?

When we have a hankering for fried chicken, Captain Jay’s is a good choice. The chicken is fabulously tasty. However, the last time we wanted takeout, we called ten times and no one answered. So we ordered online. When we got the food home we realized they had forgotten our mac and cheese. I drove back and told them what happened. There was no apology for the inconvenience. Actually, the person didn’t say anything at all, just handed me a container. As you can see from the picture, the container was not even near the advertised 16oz. Plus, it was cold. Who gives you a container of cold mac and cheese with your fried chicken?!

Some of the best perch I've ever had in my life! The fries were incredible as well. Meal was just under 12 bucks and came with a drink and coleslaw. 10/10

Rachel and Rhyonna are both great! Rhyonna was so helpful when I wasn’t sure what to order, ask the right questions was so patient and kind. I felt so welcomed. I will be coming back to 100 percent because there service was top notch. They both made sure I had all my sauces, sides and cake without even mentioning it or asking. . 2 beautiful souls!
