Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. The seasoning is perfect. The fries are sweet and savory. The chicken and shrimp are both seasoned to perfection. Very fresh when it comes out even though it is all deep fried. It’s all very amazing. The only reason i will not give it 5 stars is the wait time. When we have a hankering for fried chicken, Captain Jay’s is a good choice. The chicken is fabulously tasty. However, the last time we wanted takeout, we called ten times and no one answered. So we ordered online. When we got the food home we realized they had forgotten our mac and cheese. I drove back and told them what happened. There was no apology for the inconvenience. Food will always be fresh because they fry when you buy! And you can use food stamps which is always a plus. This place always gets me right when I don't feel like cooking ❤️
