There was a bit of a wait but they seat you pretty quickly. Food is okay. Ordered the crab cake eggs benedict and it was a bit greasier than expected. The waiter asked if Boursin on the crab cakes was okay and neglected to mention that it would be $3 for a little smear of cheese. The pricing for this is not mentioned on the menu. Expect to pay more on anything “extra” whether it’s cheese or sauce and be sure to ask ahead of time how much it costs. Not worth the $18.

My sister and I have visited a couple times and have had great experiences each time! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the food is even better. There can be a wait but it’s totally worth it!

Grand Rapids’ oldest restaurant keeps its tradition and outstanding record alive. My go-to is the Crab Cake Benedict that is without rival. The service and attention to patrons’ preferences, etc. are without equal. Tom truly makes the culinary experience complete, and rest of the staff are equally as adept at making an outing to the Cherie Inn truly memorable. Bravo to Michael and his crew!

The food is delicious, and the restaurant is a centagenarian Grand Rapids institution. But the real treasure at Cherie Inn is the staff. They will learn your name, even on the first visit, and make you feel like a regular.
