17 for a sandwich and then 4 for their yuka fries… The sandwich was alright but not worth 17. Then they only gave me 6 fries…. SIX FRIES FOR 4 DOLLARS. I do not recommend city built breweries what so ever. Peace.
We started our 2 day beer tour here! Great service and phenomenal beers! The Blue Monroe and the Honor Amongst Thieves were my favourites.
Fun, laid back brewery with solid beer and excellent tacos.
Tasty beer. We had a sour and an IPA. Great beertender. The food looks amazing but we didn’t get any this time.
This has been a favorite spot of mine for a while now. Just today I realized I've never reviewed it! Excellent beer with a nice variety. Try the Nachos; I'd drive out here just for those honestly.
The Oktoberfest they put on was lots of fun and I hope they do it again next year. Maybe with an expanded menu?
Loved the Oktoberfest. Very attentive barkeeps.
I can’t remember the last time I genuinely disliked food in my life. My friend and I each got 3 different tacos. As well as Cajun shrimp appetizer. Everything was incredibly bland. My friend thought the same and he’s white. I added salt but did not help. There was no intrinsic flavor. Overpriced, bland food.
Also had to wait in line like it was a club to order food and drink. Never coming back.
Great beer, awesome food. Service was excellent. My friends really liked the non beer options as well. Ed and Sofia really took care of us. Ed is a super host and made sure we could watch the Packer game. We'll be back for sure next time we're in GR.
Best beer& tacos in GR
Amazing vegan tacos ?! Had the return to the river beer and dry cider and both were great. Loved the service and the location. I’ll definitely be back :)

CBBC is my favorite place in town. For locals looking to catch up, visitors interested in the beer scene, and everyone in between. Beer is great, food is great, staff is great, location is great, and the customers are great. Get the tostones. Thank you CBBC.
Food is good, especially the specialty tacos, and Adult Nuggs. The beer selection and quality have improved significantly. Love the new IPA's. Fifth Street Hooligans, Mi Gente and 7 Year Anniversary. Outdoor picnic table seating along the front on Monroe Avenue, and across the street along the Grand River. There is plenty of seating inside at at the bar. There is no table service. You must go to the bar to order food and beer. They text you when your food is ready. Bike racks out front and on the side of the building, which was nice for our stop along the route in downtown GR.
Driving through Grand Rapids, City Built kept coming up on lists of breweries to stop at. The reviews were not wrong, this place was great. Had one of the sours and two of the IPAs and got a Coconut Porter to go. Also had Nachos Fantasy and Asada Dip sandwich, both of which were excellent. Would absolutely recommend, regardless of whether you're looking for food, drink, or both.
Several N/A non-alcoholic drink options, would have been cool to have a N/A beer, but the cocktails were cool. I tried the activated charcoal mocktail and it was interesting! Preferred the Cherry Bombs one, not too sweet, but less bitter than the charcoal. Really kid-friendly: they have a kids menu, coloring pages, lots of crayons, a mini disc golf set, and chicken nuggets that were actually regular chicken nuggets!!
City Built has great FOOD! They are known for their beer and rightly so because there are so many good ones. But the food is great!
Bori Balls as an appetizer will disappear as people scarf them down. They are so good!
The Cubana sandwich is an awesome blend of flavors grilled like a grilled cheese or a panini but with pork, ham, pickles and cheese.
They have awesome tacos with lots of flavors to choose from. It's worth the wait and the service is great!
