Needed a cake for a birthday Gaby’s was able to same-day quickly arrange for a 10” Strawberry Fraisier. The Fraiser was great, not too sweet and decently loaded with fresh strawberries and their vanilla butter cream. They do recommend at least a day notice for larger orders and I’ll definitely keep them in mind for future orders! Look forward to coming back and trying out their other offerings.

This is a must try if you’re at the downtown market. The quiches are incredible, creme brûlée is amazing and the vanilla cream puffs are, honest to god, life changing.

The best pastries and desserts I've had in Michigan! Our family went and picked 4 different desserts; each was exceptional. I couldn't choose a favorite, because each one was so delicious and different. Highly recommend!!

New to GR, I visited the market and found HEAVEN. Growing up I just wasn’t a cookie kid. I stopped by Gaby’s bakery and I was conflicted by all the great choices. I attempted at what I thought was the less of all the evils. A chocolate chip cookie OMG! I’m done! ❤️❤️❤️ Gaby is the greatest very gifted. If you don’t visit and add to your bucket list your missing out!

I picked up a cranberry pear and almond cream tart from Gabys Gourmandise. Look at how beautiful this thing is! Didn't get a ton of almond flavor because that cranberry puree was TART. Reminiscent of a thanksgiving cranberry dish. The pears on top gave it a nice crunchy texture. The crust was bliss - sweet, crumbly, and delicious. Also shoutout the to server, she was very patient and helpful! I need to come back here to grab some of their cream puffs.

We must of picked the wrong menu Items. We got the Raspberry Madilienes (my spelling is bad) and the Pistachio Cream puffs. The raspberry flavoring on the madinlines was super tart. I have a citric acid allergy and it seemed like extra was added it because it burned my mouth. And the cream puffs is just the grounded nuts themselves in it. its not going to be that sweet pistachio you find in normal dessert pistachio products. The reason I gave amtmosphere a 2 it isn't there fault but this Market is not set up for great customer flow. So people really just stand in front of their stand as you walk in just looking around not really wanting anything from them but they gather there a lot. its a busy market.

What a find in the Downtown Market. I picked up some Crème Brûlée to share with my family and the lady waiting the counter was friendly.I have to say this Crème Brûlée was the best we have ever tasted. Perfect smooth texture and burst of vanilla flavor. There is really not words to describe this dish, Chef Gaby has perfected it. We just sat there smiling at each other, it was so good you couldn't help but just smile! What an experience, can't wait to come back!!!

After enjoying Gaby’s Gourmandise for years, my wife and I asked Gaby to help us with a cake for our daughter’s baptism. Gaby created a custom almond flour cake to our specifications, including that it be gluten free. The cake was exceptional and all of our guests raved about it. Thank you Gaby and team!

The owner, Gaby, is super friendly. The treats are a little bit too sweet for my taste. Creme Brulee made with real vanila beans was done perfectly. The top caramel crust was perfect, the custard was smooth and taste was good but again on the a bit sweet side for me. I was a disappointed with Pistachio cream puff though, didn't feel much Pistachio falovor.

What a hidden gem. For true french pastries. Never would of found this place on my own. One look at the display case and the perfectly cleaned kitchen with hand written recipes scattered about and you know it's a authentic pastry kitchen. Everything is unique and he makes pastries most would consider difficult and then he takes the ones that should be simple ( cream puff ) and turns it into something that words can't describe just over flowing with rich cream vanilla beans specks through-out. Truly gratefully I happened to Come across this place today.

Oh my goodness, where do I even start? We hired Chef Gaby to cater the deserts for our July wedding.I grew up in France so I wanted some authentic French deserts for the day and boy did he deliver! We chose a Fraisier as our wedding cake, which he made gluten free for me! As well as a selection of mini tartelettes. We had great communication with Gaby throughout the planning process and he was a joy to work with, so accommodating.Everything was delicious, my only regret was that we didn't order more! Some guests had 4-5 tartelettes EACH as they were so tasty! They were truly the perfect desert for a hot summer's day, much lighter than heavy cake/doughnuts or muffins.Thank you so much Gaby, we can't wait to get some more treats next time we're in GR!
