Just visited for the first time tonight, and everything was fantastic! My wife and I each had a couple cocktails and shared the bao bun trio. The bao were absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were among the best we've had. The service was also excellent. And all of that with a super chill and fun vibe. We will definitely be coming back!

I can't say enough GOOD things about this place. The atmosphere is wonderful and inviting. I love all the bartenders, but have received the best (to me) service from the girl who usually works Wednesday nights. My friends and I love coming to GWS. It's refreshing to have a safe environment to be ourselves in.

This is my favorite place, the staff are all amazing! Shout out to Mickey, They always make me feel safe and seen as my queer self. Also the drinks are top tier and the food is so good, I always get the tofu bao and it never fails.

my friend and I had one of the greatest experiences at the general woodshop. Super accommodating, knew exactly what to serve us by asking select few questions on what preferences we had in cocktails, and made us the best drinks. We will be coming back and asking for Christian specifically from now on. Best bartender hands down! Knew a lot about the business and gave us a 200% experience!

Would have gotten 5 stars is the service was terrible. I have never heard nor been to general wood shop, but my friends and I were looking for a bar to spend a lot of time at ordering food and buying drinks. It was 9pm, and the tables were clearing out, but that didn't matter. The servers were more focused on talking to each other. We got our food, which was immaculate, and our drinks were delicious so much we wanted to order more......tell that to our server to snatch our water glasses without even refilling them. Never came back to the table to check if we were all set. My partner, whose card was on the tab, had to walk up to the half empty bar with 4 workers gossiping and waiting for them to be done to cash out at the bar. Needless to say, I'll only go their for carry out cause the service was awful. Which sucks because the atmosphere was actually really nice.
Awesome vibe and music! The only thing I’d change is the guacamole. It’s pretty bland and needs some garlic, salt, pepper and a little bit of spice.
