Have been twice, about 2 years apart. It really is an experience. Beautiful food and service. On the way home my wife and I decided to make Grove our anniversary tradition. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We had an amazing time at grove. We did the 150$ tasting option for 2 which is a great deal. One of my favorite meals I have had in GR. Will have to come back with more people to try the entire menu.

Grove is beyond good. Everything blew our mind. It was a perfect place for the wife and I.

My girlfriend and I came in from Chicago to try the tasting menu. We loved every dish, especially the scallops and the strawberry rhubarb dessert. I felt like it was a great fine dining experience that definitely competed with some of the best I've had in both Chicago and Detroit. The menu rotates so we're both looking forward to coming back again soon

We visited Grove for our 25th anniversary. The decor and service were top notch. However there were a few aspects that were a disappointment to the experience overall.
We ordered the tasting for 2 which included bread and dessert along with picking 5 dishes to sample from the menu. While 3 of the dishes were exceptional, 2 dishes were sub-par. We paid extra to sample the Wagu Steak dish, which was under seasoned, and tasted as if it had no seasoning at all. The pesto pasta dish was over seasoned and tasted heavily of salt. All the other dishes (potatoes, grilled asparagus, and salad) were great.

While it was fun to try something new, we would find it hard to justify returning.

excellent food, drinks, and service. highly recommend to anyone looking for a great birthday dinner experience. my only complaint (and this is so nitpicky) but if we’re spending $100 per person, why is the check presented on a flimsy piece of paper with a binder clip on top? i think a real check presenter/book would match the experience more.

5 course tasting menu is always fun, with some stellar and incredible dishes, and some just 'great'.

Such a lovely restaurant with wonderful staff. We were a group of ten in town on business and enjoyed the most delicious meal. Very impressed with how thoughtful each dish was and how accommodating the chef was for our dietary needs (vegan). Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday at Grove this past weekend. The service was great and the food was INCREDIBLE. We were in awe of everything we tried. It's worth it to get the Tasting for Two. Can't wait to return.

At first, my boyfriend and I had a great experience. The server, James, seemed nice and knowledgeable, and the restaurant had what seemed to be a good menu. We decided on the Tasting for Two.

For our first course, we had the Grilled Zucchini, the Bread and Butter, and Salmon Crudo- a seemingly new rollout on the menu. The bread and butter, made in house, is excellent.
The zucchini, at $19, was 1/3rd of a zucchini on a bed of burrata, tasted solely of burnt oil, and had no seasoning. There was no fennel, and was sparing with the hazelnut pesto.
The salmon crudo was acceptable yet was diminished in serving size and freshness.

Second, we had the Berkshire Pork Belly, which was missing poppyseed dressing, peaches, and pickled peppers. Had they been included, this could have potentially made up for the complete lack of seasoning on either the creamed corn or the pork belly; the cook of the cured pork belly was very nice.

Brought out in a surf and turf fashion, we had Hamachi Collar and Wagyu Hanger Steak. This is where the experience reached the pinnacle of distaste. First and foremost, the Hamachi Collar tasted completely fishy and almost rotten. This tasted dreadful. Our server, James, assured us that it had been received that same day, and that the staff had received portions before service. It allegedly had been served 15 times with no complaints, per our server. Maybe it was just a bad piece of fish?
Our Wagyu Hanger steak completely tasted of burnt oil, a pattern for this meal. The crust was fine but it lacked seasoning, and the garlic scape was an overcooked, brown, obstacle. The salsa macha was underwhelming and left no flavor to be had. We were also disappointed that the shishito peppers were completely unaltered, raw on the plate.

Our server was very consistent in asking for feedback on the food. At first, he was very receptive, agreeing with the assessment of the zucchini, however, for the "surf and turf" course he quickly turned sour. After we sent the Hamachi back, we apologized for the inconvenience of our critique. As we apologized, James remarked we had "already said it fifteen times" in a rude tone and walked away from us. The Hamachi was replaced with Fried Mushrooms, and our dessert course was Cheesecake to-go.

We will not be eating at this establishment again and won't be recommending anyone. The price point is insane for the quantity and quality of food. Although, the bread and butter was very good.

The decor of the restaurant is simple but clean, but lacked ambience. No table clothes and no candle's.
Menu, simply without many choices. No salad was available to order. Fish dinner was good but sparse (6oz) and for the price it should have been outstanding.
We ordered the heirloom tomato appetizer to start. When the order came, it was comical and we felt it was so disrespectful. literally 3 slices of tomato with sauce. $18 you would think for that amount of money you’d at least get a couple tomatoes.

We did not order as much as the waitress recommended. If we would have the bill would have been over $400. After spending almost $300 with tip ( 4 people) and a bottle of wine…we walked out of the restaurant a bit hungry and said….pizza anyone??
In closure, I suppose some will be ok with this restaurant but unfortunately it’s just too expensive for what you get.

Finally visited Grove this past Tuesday. My friend and I got the Taste of Grove for $50 with an addition of the bread and butter, spicy nuts. As part of the Taste of Grove, I got the Berkshire Pork Belly and the Lamb Chop for entree and Madeline cake for dessert, and my friend got the Potato Crusted Fish and the Wagyu Brisket and Vanilla Cheesecake for dessert. We shared all the food and between all the above mentioned items my favorite was the Pork Belly. In the excitement we forgot to take a picture of the lamb chop and wagyu brisket.
