Vivant Brewery & Spirits in Grand Rapids was a really enjoyable experience and easily one of the more distinctive brewery settings I have visited.
The atmosphere is what grabbed me first. The building was originally a funeral home chapel, and instead of trying to hide that history, they leaned into it. Lucked out and found parking right in front. Did not have to pay for parking because it was the weekend. Nice surprise. Like to sit at the bar and lucked out again by finding the last two seats at the bar. The brewery was not over whelmingly busy. The bartenders were on point. Great atmosphere great music great beer! We had the Pub Stouts and the porter. Excellent!
This is a very unique style brewery. The beer was good but the real star of the show was the duck fat chili fries.
