“I went picked Brass Ring Brewing to celebrate my birthday with my family. I choose Brass Ring because I was interested in trying their cask ales. What I found at Brass Ring was a level of customer service that I have rarely found across the food service industry. We showed up at Brass Ring to find that a very large group was dining there, taking up a majority of the seating. They don't take reservations, so it was going to be a challenge finding a table for our group of 6. The owner heard the staff struggling to find us an available table. He jumped in and found a solution. He personally asked a couple that was seated at a large table if they would be willing to move. They graciously accepted to make room for us. This level of customer service has obviously been trained into the entire staff because our waiter was the most helpful and hospitable server I've ever encountered. Firstly, he was extremely knowledgeable of food and drink menu, helping us to navigate it superbly. He also got the entire restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" with us when it was time for dessert. The food and drinks were top notch, but the customer service was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Brass Ring. You will not be disappointed!“

“Vivant Brewery & Spirits in Grand Rapids was a really enjoyable experience and easily one of the more distinctive brewery settings I have visited.
The atmosphere is what grabbed me first. The building was originally a funeral home chapel, and instead of trying to hide that history, they leaned into it. The stained glass above the bar is especially striking, and the exposed wood, high ceilings, and historic architecture give the space a sophisticated, almost European feel. It has a lot of character without feeling gimmicky.
We only stopped in for appetizers, but everything we tried was very tasty. Vivant is known for putting more effort into the food than the typical brewery, with a from-scratch menu and some more creative options than standard bar food. Their duck nachos, beer cheese and pretzels, frites, and poutine are some of the items that come up repeatedly with other guests.
The drink side is just as interesting. They focus heavily on European-inspired beers, but they also make spirits and offer craft cocktails, so there is quite a bit more variety than you get at a brewery that is strictly about beer.
What I liked most was the overall vibe. It feels a little more refined and sophisticated than the average taproom, but it is still comfortable and relaxed enough that you can just sit down, have a drink, share some food, and enjoy the building.
Great ambiance, very good food, an interesting drink selection, and one of the coolest historic interiors in Grand Rapids. Vivant took a building with a very unusual past and turned it into something that feels classy, memorable, and completely its own.“

“We stopped in for dinner and the food itself was solid. The meals we ordered came out tasty and well-prepared—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely good. Portions were generous and the flavors hit the mark. The absolute highlight was the pazookie. Fresh out of the oven, gooey in the center, with the ice cream melting just right on top. It was genuinely awesome and the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, the service and environment dragged the experience down. Our server rushed us the entire time, constantly hurrying us along and barely making eye contact. The attitude came across as rude rather than just busy, which made the table feel unwelcome. On top of that, there were giant fruit flies all over the place, landing on glasses, buzzing around the food, the works. Not something you want to see (or swat) while trying to enjoy a meal.“

“I rarely enjoy drinks or food at an airport (worldwide). Founders at Grand Rapids Airport keep high quality standards, consistency and AMAZING SERVICE all the time. I travel often for business and this has became my aiport favorite spot.... the guys are so cool but Adana is the best!“
