“We turned onto this downtown brewery because we often frequent their sister establishment broadleaf brewery. It's definitely a cool building. It has a great friendly vibe and the food is always good. I can't wait to sit out on the deck with a nice IPA.“

New Holland Brewing Stop & Taste Store Brewpubs • $$
417 Bridge St NW, Grand Rapids

“Met up with a friend for happy hour on a Thursday and enjoyed $2 off appetizers and cocktails. The knickerbocker had some delicious gin cocktails we enjoyed. Our waiter was laid back, but attentive and relatively knowledgeable about the menu to give us some good recs. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was fine. Not enough dip for chip ratio... but I tend to load up my chips. The pear salad was refreshing and full of delicious veggies including beets. Next, we sampled the chicken and waffle pizza. It was good, but mainly just a play on sweet and salty/ savory. I would've preferred if it was a bit spicier. I absolutely loved the pizza of the month, the chicken enchilada pizza. It was a great balance of flavors, just the right amount of heat and the tomatillo sauce for the base was delicious. The restaurant is spacious and modern. They have a store where you can buy beer or a growler to take home. Their bathrooms are so much fun! You can wash soap and dry all at the same sink. Happy we picked this place for a girl's night. Would love to come back.“

“We came in on a Friday for lunch around 12:30PM and we were the first customers, it appeared. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. We were seated and taken care of for the duration of our meal by Malakai (sorry if that is not the correct spelling!) They were great - very attentive and friendly. We were given a complimentary bowl of homemade chips to start - so good, they had an Indian flare to them! We started with the asparagus nuggets and they were good. Bite sized asparagus pieces deep fried and served with an aioli and a sweet siracha sauce. Two of us had the grain bowl with salmon and they were delicious. Third guest had the mushroom pizza, and it was divine. I brought some of my grain bowl home, because it was such a hearty portion! Great leftovers! The chef also came around and asked how our food was and was very friendly and welcoming.More guests arrived while we were eating and I was happy to see more patrons. Their lunch was delicious and it was too slow for a Friday afternoon! So, highly recommend checking them out for lunch!“

“This place is lovely. The food and brews are great and the staff is really friendly. The only thing that sketched me out was the woman in the beanie that worked there continuously reusing her glass to make herself multiple cocktails. That’s a food safety thing for sure, no telling if she accidentally touched anything against the glass.“
