“Love the environment, our waiter was amazing. He explained all the selections we were Interested in, and the meals we choose were the swordfish and the wagyu sirloin. Each was fabulous! I also explained the wine I like and he made sure he brought me the perfect one. For dessert we had bourbon apple crisp. Which was the best dessert I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back“
“The Chicken sausage tater tot casserole and the BLT w cheese were both amazing! I also tried the iced con meil to drink, FABULOUS!!! You should try it! The service was incredible too! Alondra was our server and we would request her again. We also had a visit from Manager Charlotte, she was fun and funny and very engaging! Top notch breakfast this morning from the time we walked in until the time we walked out! Thank you!!!“
“As someone with celiac, this place is a beacon of hope. It's so nice to never have to worry about being contaminated. Even if you aren't a mutant like me and can eat gluten, the food here is delicious despite being gluten free. It's not just "oh that's good for being gluten free", it's just good. Period. On top of all that they have the friendliest staff in the city. 5/5 experience. Don't miss this place.“
“Best dining experience I've ever had in gr. Absolutely 5 stars all around. My wife and I did the Grove tastings experience. Everything was top-notch. The attention to detail in the dishes was evident. When each dish was brought out the staff told you in detail all the ingredients used and how it was cooked. We will definitely be back soon.“
“Love West Side Social! Easy waitlist to place your name on instead of waiting in line at the restaurant. They do a great job being friendly, serving great foods and offering specials weekly. I am a vegetarian and their homemade veggie burgs is absolutely delicious!“
“Tried them for the first time today and was very pleased! Great customer service and delicious food. Had the pulled pork, chicken, and brisket with the mac-n-cheese and baked beans for sides. No complaints at all!! The corn bread muffins were so so good as well. Definitely going to be a repeat customer. Thanks!“
“We decided to give Big E’s another try! This time, our experience was nothing short of the BEST. Our server Braylin was amazing and made our time here so enjoyable! She had the best suggestions when it came to all apps, drinks AND dessert. We will be asking for her EVERY TIME we come back.If you want good service, ask for Braylin!“
“Brunch service and food was solid. Cute spot in the middle of downtown by the JW Marriott and Amway Grand, Devos and Van Andel. only suggestion with the Sweet potato hash would have been slightly more cooked Brussels sprouts and broccoli. flavors were a tasty mix of deliciousnes, including the Kim chi.“
“I first dined at the Chop House 16 years ago and to this day I must say it is still the best restaurant in Grand Rapids. Food quality as well as service is above any other restaurant in the area. First class all the way, in my opinion there is no other establishment I would call on to celebrate a special occasion.“
“We turned onto this downtown brewery because we often frequent their sister establishment broadleaf brewery. It's definitely a cool building. It has a great friendly vibe and the food is always good. I can't wait to sit out on the deck with a nice IPA.“
“Everything was delicious! The hash balls were crispy and left you craving another full plate. The sweet aloha was the perfect blend of flavors balancing sweet and savory. I’ve had better falafels sandwiches that had hummus and more sauce, but the falafels themselves were great!“
“Took a couple grandkids here to spend a rainy afternoon together….Chris and his staff were wonderful! Helped us get set up, and checked in just often enough to make sure we had what we needed. Great atmosphere….clean, comfortable and friendly.“
“The choo-choo grill is an endangered species. A throwback to a simpler time where Food wasn't trying to be cutting edge but instead just focused on being delicious. The choo-choo grill is your classic American diner. Serving up both breakfast and lunch the food is not fancy, but it is made with love And is made well. The interior is small two booths and counter seating only. What is probably most remarkable, though is that you're only a stranger there once. Every time we dine in, I am amazed at the number of regulars and repeat customers. What's even more impressive that they are remembered by the staff in return. There's terrific community connection going on within this small brick building. Rick, Kathy and Mary do a fantastic job making you feel welcome while simultaneously keeping your coffee mug filled and your order out to you fast. My personal go to is always the cakes and more there is something about a fluffy pancake hot off the flat top that is just magical and don't you dare leave without trying one of their malts ! The chocolate peanut butter is to die for! Currently the building is for sale, so who knows how much time we'll have left before the last train pulls out of the station, so get in and enjoy it while you can.“
“You better wear multiple socks when eating these gyros, they’ll knock them all off! The best in town for a good reason, the quality of the meat off the shank is too notch. I get the gyro, or the black and white (lamb/chicken) when I go in and not only the meat but the pita bread is what you get in the best delis in NYC and Philly. This is my favorite shop in town and I’m blessed to live within 5 miles.“
“We had a small dinner reception in the Elevated Room at Divani on our wedding day in September, and were absolutely blown away! The food, the service, the atmosphere - everything was 5 star. Every single person we encountered was so kind and accommodating. Wendy was also an absolute DREAM to work with. I went back and forth with Wendy for about a year while planning our wedding. Celebrating here was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and we cannot thank you all enough!“
“We had breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning. The wait time was decent and the food was pretty good. The wait staff was very good as well. I loved the cinnamon roll. I can’t say I would go back due to how dirty and dingy it was, the place really needs a deep clean and maybe some new flooring or a steaming. I’m a maybe on returning.“

“The food was phenomenal! The atmosphere excellent, however our server was "NOT GREAT", I don't remember his name but his excuse for poor service ( we had to flag him down EVERYTIME we needed something, he never once stopped by to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. I will definitely go again as I'm sure it was just a fluke and I just happen to get one bad server so I will give it another go but the food was Top Shelf and the atmosphere was perfect“
“Finally a place with a good menu and tasty meals in Grand Rapids. The Cobb Chicken Salad, Gouda Tomato soup, and Fuego Burger were delicious. Everything was fresh and chicken was perfectly done. Service was very good and there were a decent number of TVs around to watch sports. Nice variety on the menu. We'll be back next time we are on that side of town!“
“Fun restaurant with a great atmosphere. Went for a family dinner before an event in gr. Highly recommend. For the owners I would recommend including the kids menu online. We almost didn't come as we were not sure our kids would have an option they would enjoy too. I was pleasantly surprised by the kids menu.Kid-friendliness: My kids had a wonderful time with zero proof umbrella drinks and wonderful kids menu. While this is a little pricier place it is great for a special night out.“
“Everyone knows what a Beer Flight is, but a Pizza Flight?? Yes please, take my $$$!The beer is always outstanding here, but honestly it's the pizza flight that brings me back over and over again. The fact I can pick 6 different kinds of pizza and not have to settle for one flavor is the best thing ever.I personally think my favorite is the Coney Dog pizza. Why is this not common everywhere. Outstanding! Can't wait for my next trip to Grand Rapids.“
“Best Deli ever!!! Took a few sandwiches home and my husband he just loved it! Sandwiches are good size, and they are different than most deli's. Staff is always wonderful. Worth a drive to go! The sandwiches we always get are #64 Freddie Mercury, #1 The Anchor, #2 The Old Dutch Just Amazing“
“Brooklyn was great, offered suggestion of a drink "June bug" it was awesome. The best spinach artichoke dip and pita chips I have ever had. Great atmosphere and servers are very attentive and friendly. I will be coming back next time in town. “
“Not sure what Trophy Dad is saying, but I was there that same night and seen no issues. Everything he said could be further from the truth. I know the bartender personally and he wouldn't and wasn't doing anything of the sort. It is a very busy place and the workers are always hustling and bustling due to the amount coming in and out. Actually seen the manager out on the floor talking with folks all while helping run food and manage the entire place. Either this guy was at the wrong place or has larger problems in his own personal life and felt the need to take out his problems here. Always have a great experience at this place and love the atmosphere. I'm sure no one will miss the guy, lol.“
“Did not realize how big the bowls actually are and was very impressed with the speed and friendliness of the staff. Definitely recommend to load up your toppings so you can have max flavor mix with the ?I ate two bowls on my own but 1 is MORE than enough for a single person.“
“Went to dinner with 5 others. We really enjoyed the pasta and root beer. I would suggest getting the half portion of pasta if possible because its a ton of food. Not 5 stars because the service wasn't great in that it was fairly obvious he was trying to flip the table.“
“Fantastic place. Best value for sure. Yeah there's Anna's House and the Morning Belle but if you want debatably better quality without breaking the bank and a heck of a lot less of that "packed like sardines" feeling, this is for sure the place to go.Parking: Parking is behind the building, plenty of parking there normally“
“I will definitely come back here. The atmosphere was fun, hip, and large. Our server was very sweet and great! I'm GF and I appreciated how much they had for me on the menu. So many options! The food was so good and eclectic. We came on a Saturday later in the day around brunch time and it was busy so be prepared to possibly wait. But it's worth it!“
“We really enjoyed our time here. Cory was an EXCELLENT server. He offered good suggestions and everyone loved their meals. Curry was good, scampi was rated excellent and our friend loved the lemon, Al pastor was a highlight for sure. Really delicious. The highlight of the night was the bread pudding. Save room as it was everyone's favorite. Street corn app was great too. Will be back!!“
“Went for our anniversary last weekend. We didn't feel like dealing with the hustle and bustle of a Saturday night, so we booked for Sunday at 5pm. We absolutely did not need a reservation but it was really nice that we did because they were very ready for us. They had a lovely large booth set for us, including a personalized note congratulating us on our anniversary. I will start this by saying the server's name is escaping me, but he doubled as the bartender that evening. I want to say it was Jake? Either way, he was great! We got cocktails to start, whiskey julep and paper plane. My boyfriend didn't love the julep, he went out on a limb trying something new to him, but I really enjoyed the paper plane. Second, we ordered the bison meatballs and medjool dates as appetizers. The dates were fabulous, they reminded me of a super elevated PB&J. The meatballs weren't my favorite, as I found them a little dry, but my boyfriend loved them. I did notice that a TON of things on this menu feature nuts as garnish or contain a nut butter? This place would be pretty tough for someone with a peanut/tree nut allergy. Third, we actually both order the Delmonico steak - him the ribeye (medium) and myself the filet (med rare). Their special that night was Hamburger Helper and I was very, very close to getting it but the steak was calling me. All of our food came out very quickly - to be fair, I am almost positive that we were the only patrons at the time but that worked great for us! The steaks were both perfectly cooked to temperature. I had the Chalk Hill Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast, CA) per the recommendation of our server, it paired super well! The delmonico potatoes were something I had to ask our server about because I had never heard of them. They were basically a block of cheesy potatoes and they were delicious! I couldn't finish my meal and our server boxed mine up for me... which I promptly forgot at the table as we left (sad). No dessert for us this time as we were stuffed but the Baked Alaska sounded awesome. We will be back!“
“Charlie's has to be one of my favorite places to eat ever. Super friendly staff, Charlie herself comes by every single time. Wait staff and bartenders are all great. Tracy was our server tonight, possibly the best service we've ever had! The food was also great, especially the mussels and the potato skins. Fried pollack is hand breaded. Smelt battered in house too. Kids Mac and cheese, Charlie brings candy for the kids. What's not to love? If we could, we'd go every week.“
“I had the best bacon ever, my husband had andouille sausage and really loved it. The taste is just incredible. The atmosphere is so nice and Jamie our waitress was uniquely impressive and passionate with her service and recommendations. I can’t recommend this place enough.“
“First time having dinner @ Terra! Excellent all around. Fabulous dinner, service, and attention to detail!! From the custom menu to two wonderful appetizers- roasted carrots & mussels (see the picture of the menu)Three of us had: Rigatoni Bolognese, Braised Cider Short Ribs, and Seared Scallops!! Outstanding. Even the coffee and dessert! This is another gem in Grand Rapids!!“
Thank you!!!“
“The quality of the food is always top of the line. The beef melted in your mouth. The shrimp bisque, delicious. The kitchen forgot to put the blue cheese on my salad & there was little if any dressing on it... it was beautifully arranged though (a work of art!) Oh! the fresh mozzarella appetizer left us wanting more! & the smoked risotto was delicious & a cool experience (how did they do that!) The homemade bread, crusty outside & soft inside; perfect. And as always the flavored butters are a treat. This was the first day for these students, so they were a bit nervous. & we waited a bit for our left overs to come out. But all in all, we love coming here, for the food & the students!“
“My favorite time to visit is during the Summer when the beach and outdoor tables are open. They bring in live palm trees, very tall, from Florida . They have live bands often and tiki torches. It’s a great experience to sit in the sun, look out over the lake and take in the sunset with my love… not to mention forget your in Michigan lolParking: During the summertime the parking lot fills up fast. They have staff attendants directing cars to a back parking lot as well.“
“My friends and I decided to try The Commons and we weren’t disappointed! Upon walking in, I felt I had walked into my uncle’s basement in 1975. The decor is incredible, and details were so fun, right down to the yellow drinking classes. Our server was very attentive and gave us great suggestions. I had the olive burger melt and fries - so good! I appreciated the non-alcoholic drink features. The service was excellent, our food was tasty and came out very quickly. After we ate, the server said we could hang out in their living room-type area; so fun! We’ll be back. I recommend going early as peak dinner was pretty crowded.“
“Really loved the highback seats, the attention to keeping people safe and cleaned regularly. Menu was an Aztec barcode link so no multi handled menus. A class act. Just sorry we didn't come earlier. Will definitely go again. Have told all of our friends to go! The menu is so interesting it's hard to pick one thing. Always find something new and delicious to try. Update, have been here a few times now and totally love it. It is our go to place downtown.Parking: Parking is validated by the restaurant if you park in the Studio Park ramp“
“Absolutely brilliant place that we found by chance whilst exploring Grand Rapids. They are dog friendly, unlike nearly everywhere else nearby, so our greyhound laid by our table and was given a piece of bacon by the staff! The service was fantastic and attentive, including drinks suggestions. The food was delicious and we couldn't finish it all because the portions were so generous. Generally a great atmosphere, and we wouldn't hesitate to come back next time we're in GR!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in at rear entrance.“
“Great service. Great food. Coffee is amazing. We always get the French press and every time it's delicious . Food is always fresh and never changes. The sourdough bread has the best flavor. Only place my husband will order biscuits and gravy. My daughter started getting the kids grilled cheese and adds ham and she loves it. I was asked to update my review and no change this place is good every time.“
“We have used Matt and his team for our last 2 school auctions. He is amazing to work with, easy to get a hold of and presents the best of the best in smoked meats and sides for a more than responsible cost. Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone!“
“Went to HopCat on St. Patrick’s day weekend during Irish on Ionia. The place was crazy busy but our bartender, Kasey was efficient, patient and so kind. She never made us feel rushed even with how much she had going on. Great service! Thank you Kasey!! ?“
“The food and waitstaff service were very good. The "hostess" positions need some work. We wanted a booth but they said none were available even though we could see several empty booths. When I pointed out the booths, we were told they would have to ask the waitstaff. We did get a booth. There was no "adult" manager visible during the entire time we were in the restaurant.“
“We wanted to try something different and made the trip out to the country. The farm is so cute. We did not eat and really just stopped in a for a drink. They had live music and that was a nice surprise. The place was packed. Very kid friendly and lots of families out on a Saturday night. The outdoor space has extra picnic style tables with umbrellas and we could hear the music from there as well. Not a huge beer selection but we found one we liked. The gift shop was small but cute. I liked the homemade jars of jams, salsa, etc. They also have a bakery and we bought some delicious donuts to bring home. Thelma and Louise were a big hit!“
“MY NEW FAV LOCAL! Their Slim Jim has lg stack of smoked juicy ham. The loaded tater tots are crispy. The pickle wontons are also very good. Take out service is quick. Def will keep coming back. I can't wait to try more of the menu items!“
“We had our first ever charity event here tonight and the ENTIRE staff went above and beyond to make sure the rescue was taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We are truly speechless at the amount of support these amazing folks have given us tonight. 10/10“
“Service 10/10Food 9.9/10Our server, Gavin, was amazing. He was awesome to chat with and answered our questions before we even asked them! And the food was some of the best we've had. If we didn't live so far, we'd be regulars!“
“Junkyard Rueben was best I've ever had. Garlic Aioli instead of thousand island was phenomenal. Hot honey chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries was fantastic. Great beer selection. Natalie was our server and she was nice, attentive, quick and helpful on picking out selections.“
“There were 10 of us dining at Olive's tonight. Wonderful service from Alec; the place was hopping but he was cool, calm, and patient. The food and drinks were wonderful and I felt the bill was very reasonable. We love having this great neighborhood spot.“
“The calamari was perfect, the mussels were average, the crab cakes were good but all finely shredded no lump crab, some what disappointed with that. Salmon was perfect, tartar sauce just ok,( we like a more tart sauce with fresh dill, capers, and pickles) as was the green beans and rice. Great Caesar salad and dinner rolls. Samantha our waitress was spectacular. We would definitely go back again.“
