“It's been years since I've gone to this establishment, but it's just as great as I remember it to be. I had the Irish Benedict and it was perfect and came with their standard home fries which is a chunky style hashbrown cooked in onions. I brought in a wad of cash as they traditionally have always only accepted it, but pleasantly learned that they now take card. Only reason atmosphere got 4/5 stars is I'm always cold and the ceiling fans created a strobe effect with the lights and I didn't care much for this after my long 15 hour ER night shift. Highly recommend for breakfast!”
“Just moving to GR. This will be our go to for food and drink. We have eaten there twice for lunch. Food is great and priced reasonably. Lots of specials throughout the week. Great staff, they seem to know most folks who come. They even recognized us on our second visit. Everyone welcomed us to the neighborhood. What a great find.”
“Came here with my girlfriends for the first time, and our server was very patient as we took our time looking at the menu. We all really enjoyed the food even though we all got something completely different. The drinks aren’t too bad either. It’s a great spot that has a little something for everybody.”
“Food was excellent and cocktails were delicious!! True foodies or beer/spirits lovers need to try this if they are in Grand Rapids and want something a little more upscale. I have yet to have a better cocktail than the one I had there two years ago!”
“Six members of my family came there after moving my daughter to Grand Rapids. My husband and I had been before and loved it. The food and service were both phenomenal! We enjoyed the calamari and wings for appetizers and both were delicious. My personal favorites are the pad thai and the chocolate soufflé. The pad Thai has a perfect spice level and the scallops and shrimp are cooked perfectly.”
“Service was awesome, we had a great hostess and waiter. Food came out very quickly as well. Atmosphere is comfy and has the "roadhouse" feel to it. Typical roadhouse fare, burgers and steaks and sandwiches.Parking: Plenty of free parking.”
“We’ve now had Mudpenny cater our son’s backyard birthday party two years running. While on the slightly pricey side for group food, you get what you pay for in terms of food quality and punctuality. People were absolutely raving this weekend about the curry wrap and chicken salad wraps in particular. The pomegranate salad was a huge crowd pleaser. This year instead of picking everything up we opted for delivery which was a nice task to take off my plate the day of the party. They arrived at the exact time we scheduled. Will continue to use Mudpenny for future gatherings. So impressed!!”
“This is a really cute brewery. We sat outside- nice umbrellas to provide shade. The beer was really good- had a flight. And we split pizza, really recommend the garlic knots, and split some salad. The bartender was so nice and friendly. Would definitely come back!”
“First of all, let me say the service from the two beautiful ladies there was unmatched! Second, the food was so good. I didn't think of taking a photo! LOL! I will be back as I'm not new to LAS, but my family was, so I had to introduce them, and now they're hooked!Love It!”
“We came on a whim, and regret nothing! You can tell that everyone here cares about food. The drinks were great, the appetizer was delicious, the main courses were amazing, and the desserts were sublime. We are told that the drink and food menus are rotated seasonally; so there is always something new. They also accommodate gluten free. We will definitely be back.”
“Solid western omelette. You will want to bring your appetite to start your day off. I chose the potatoes over the hash browns and think I made a mistake. The potatoes were a bit over cooked. Everything else was delicious and service was fantastic . My coffee cup never made it past half way.”
“BEST BRUNCH PLACE EVER. Everything is curated and made in house. The fries! The hot sauce! The Spam!!! Everything is in house made. Insanely good flavors and everyone at our table got a different menu item and it was ALL INSANELY GOOD and flavorful. You need to go here! Service and quality was unmatched. Incredible”
“Loved the outside seating! We never felt rushed while enjoying our monthly get-together! The Food was amazing, fresh and something for everyone!Dietary restrictions: My friend cannot have garlic or onion and our server helped steer her in the right direction when ordering.”
“Hands down the best brunch I have had in a couple years! My wife and I recently moved back to Grand Rapids so we have been trying to visit a new restaurant each week. This week we went to brunch at Lucy’s on a Saturday! The restaurant has a unique vibe. It feels like a small down breakfast join because the staff feels tight knit like a family, but it also feels like a chain breakfast spot because of the sheer size of the restaurant! Not a bad thing at all, just an observation! The place was packed at 11am so we waited a little extra time for our wait staff. To start my wife ordered a mock tail, I ordered coffee, and we tried the deviled eggs. The pickled onions were a great touch, not sure what the ingredients are for the pickling, but they adding a little sweetness to the eggs! For the meal my wife was excited to order the Caprese Omelette. It was super light and airy with amazing flavor. Made you think of summer in every bite! I ordered the Spicy Hash. Wow, it was good! Good amount of spice and great flavor. The pickled onions seemed to give it some sweetness while the potatoes, egg, and chorizo gave it the salty flair! It was a heavy dish and kept me full for several hours! Now let me talk about the biscuits! These things were homemade and absolutely delicious! They were super dense and delightful! Paired with their homemade jelly and a cup of coffee, it was lights out!!Great experience! So great that I cannot wait to go back, maybe, hopefully this weekend!Try it!!”
“Service and atmosphere were excellent. In town for a bachelor party and they took a reservation for 10 people and gave us prompt service. The food was pretty good, but our party felt like the food was overpriced. We are used to high quality Chicago steakhouses, so maybe our expectations were higher than they should have been. Still had a good time.”
“The Choo Choo Grill is great! The service is too notch, fantastic. The parking lot is tiny, the building is small. The inside reminds you of days gone by and it's far from new and shiny. However the smell of a burger joint as you walk up tells you that you are in the right place. The menu is easy to read. You may open the door and wonder what you have stepped into but the food is made to order, the service is great.”
“Usually our trips to Tupelo Honey are 5/5. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night, our visit last night was just kind of meh. The steak salad had very little steak (and anything other than lettuce/cabbage), and the grits were not up to par (clumpy/hard to eat). We also didn't see our server very often throughout the night. Still 100% recommend TH, but there was room for improvement last night.”
“I got the pulled pork sandwich with the Mac and cheese as a side. Easily the best pulled pork sandwich I've had, very generous with the meats and slaw (multiple times it was falling off the bun because it was so stacked) and the Mac and cheese was good as well! Will be coming back to check out the other menu items they offer!”
“Extensive menu of sandwiches at fair prices. I had the Will Riker, which had potential, but you couldn't taste the horseradish that was in the cheese spread, and thus it was quite plain. The service was great, and they were happy to provide me with some extra raw horseradish to put on my sandwich. That really elevated the sandwich.”
“The only thing better than the food and drinks was the service! Super friendly staff and extremely accommodating. The only reason I didn't give this establishment 5 starts in the atmosphere category is because it is definitely lacking airflow (or maybe the AC didn't work as well as it should) we had a couple people in our party company about the heat. But this issue was easily solved with a couple more cold and DELICIOUS cocktails! Will definitely be back!!!!Dietary restrictions: My wife is vegan and they had absolutely no problem accommodating her dietary restrictions!”
“We were thoroughly impressed with the food and customer service at Anna's House. They have a big breakfast menu with many gluten free options and a full vegan menu. I got the breakfast lasagna and it was SO GOOD. The waiter and even the owner himself came by a couple times to check that we were satisfied. I would absolutely come back if I'm back in Michigan.”
“So I had never been to this place and went up to see my partner's in crime. And they took me here period Had a great time met this beautiful lady her name was erica with a k. So Erica with AK. If you read this review, you need to get back with shasta and Corey and get my number from them, you stole my heart.”
“1st time here, on a Tuesday night about 730p. The place was packed. Surprisingly, we got sat right away. The waiter was attentive. We had Tuesday's special 'wet burrito' and the chicken and waffles. Both are very good. Definitely a place I'd go again.”
“Hole in the wall serving legendary food. 30+ years in business. Best Cheese Steak I've ever had (I've had a lot) and their Gyros leave nothing to be desired. Large portions, good price. I suggest take out rather than dine in but gosh darn it, their food is amazing.Kid-friendliness: You can dumb-down anything on their menu.Parking: Almost always a spot right out front. (But you gotta be coming from the north.) Big free lot that's two doors down otherwise.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entry. Doors are not assisted but easy to push open.”
“Decided to come here after reading the reviews and I am glad we came. The service was great and the food was great. The wife and I decided to share two meals and that was fun. We ordered the Korean Poutine, and two sushi rolls. The rolls were great but the Korean Poutine was even better.”
“Was fantastic food, drinks were amazing as well. Really enjoyed the verity and the experience. You should come here!Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp into the indoor space. It is a little tight in some spots, but fairly easy to get in and to a seat.”
“Was fantastic food. Went on a date with my wife here for her birthday. They gave us special birthday menus and a free dessert. My wife still talks about the goat cheese cake with blueberry days later. I got a burger it was fantastic. Honestly top 10 (5?) Burgers I've ever eaten. My wife got the orecchiette. It was good, but I think she liked my burger better.”
“OH MY!! We returned to Grove for our anniversary celebration. We were greeted at the door with a choice of tables and a lovely handwritten note congratulating us. We selected the Grove $50 option for 6 menus items to share. All were delicious and delightful. We ordered the potato w crusted fish (light and flaky), the pepper parmesan pasta,(sooooo flavorful), the beef rib, lamb chops, accompanied by a glass of the superb Turley Zinfandel. Julie A., our server brought a glass of bubbly as soon as we sat down to celebrate our anniversary. She was exceptional. Please see the food photos. Don’t miss this Gr gem. We were too full to order dessert. It will return. They also have a separate snack menu that we did not try but looked amazing.Parking: Easy parking and free.”
“Great happy hour! Food and drink specials. It was also a burger and a beer night, which we were able to combine with happy hour. Smash burger was very tasty as well as the BlackBerry bourbon sour cocktail! They also validate parking if you park in the adjacent ramp. Great experience, we will definitely be back!”
“The Pit Stop catered our son's high school graduation open house and it was a big hit for all of our guests. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, cheesy tots, and cole slaw. Hayden arrived on time and took great care setting up the food and explaining a few details to us. When our older children graduated, we prepared the food ourselves, but it was so much more relaxing to have it all taken care of for us (including silverware, napkins, plates). It let me focus on my son and our guests instead of having to deal with food preparation. Thanks for the great food and service!”
“Haven't been in since the late 80's, early 90's. Thought we'd give it a shot. We were warmly greeting and sat immediately. Our server was very attentive and our food was better than expected. If you haven't been, check them out, you won't be disappointed!”
“Server was great, aloud us to slightly modify our food even though it was ideal! Turned out to sooooo delicious and am super grateful for that allowance! Potatoes where cooked to perfection. Tried both the hollandaise and the green goddess and they where both amazing.”
“The Old Goat is off the beaten path (meaning not downtown ?), yet very easily accessible and quaint. They have plenty of offstreet parking behind the building. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the Live Entertainment, which consisted of musicians playing an upright bass, piano and electric guitar. I enjoyed a very flavorful delicious meal consisting of their 10 oz. grilled sirloin (cooked medium rare), charred asparagus, smashed yukons, roasted mushroom and balsamic caramelized onion with thyme bordelaise. The steak was cooked to juicy and tender perfection. The yukons were both crispy and fluffy in texture. The vegetables get my chef's kiss. I also enjoyed the shared appetizers (oops...not pictured) of the Deviled Eggs (the flavor of the week was Caprese) and Pretzel Panther.Kid-friendliness: My one year old grandson was comfortable there”
“An extensive list of bourbon and whiskeys! We tried a couple and also had an Old Fashioned from on tap, as well as a rye Manhattan. Very good. The food menu wasn't nearly as extensive. We had the deviled eggs, a salad, and the 12 Oz ribeye. The eggs had a unique hot sauce with them and were delicious. The salad was pretty normal. I loved the seasoning on the ribeye, although it definitely was done much more towards medium or medium-well vs medium rare. Still very tasty!”
“An excellent Sunday dinner. Well-flavored and excellently conceived food from appetizer to dessert. Everything cooked to perfection and just the right portion sizes to be able to enjoy an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Excellent happy hour specials. Exceptionally reasonable prices for the quality. Can't wait to go back for the weekend brunch and sit on the patio on the river come spring.July 2023 Update: Linear continues to impress, especially with the best river views of any restaurant in the city.”
“We came to the Barking Lot with our Australian Shephard and absolutely loved it. Such a genius idea and so thoughtful to patrons who want to bring their furry friends out to socialize. The astroturf, little food truck and picnic tables were situated so perfectly and it was such a relaxing, fun atmosphere. The grilled cheese sandwiches that we ordered were so delicious and the cocktails and wine selection were perfectly curated for refreshing outdoor relaxation vibes.I have already recommended this spot to others and can’t wait to return again myself.”
“I have always wanted to try Heritage Restaurant and provide a better learning experience for up and coming culinary students! We made reservations by calling (which the team was super friendly in finding a time that worked for our schedules a couple weeks in advance) and the food was excellent for the cost! We got a little lost in where we should go since I think they were actually in a temporary space when we went, but the prix fixe menu was wonderful and many options for all food lovers with their app, main and dessert. I think the students are doing a fantastic job and honestly it was a wonderful meal in town for a unique experience! I'd recommend going and trying the seasonal menus that they have to offer.”
“Atmosphere and service were excellent! Great drink and beer menu. Had bang shrimp app and goat cheese... both very good. Our table had the burger, fish and chips, Shepards pie, grilled cheese, Brussel sprouts and onion rings. Everyone was very happy with their food. Definitely would come back to this place.”
“8/24/23 - Another fantastic meal! Susan had the trout (head on) Fabulous! I had the spaghetti with tomatoesWe had appetizers of mozzarella and orange tomatoes as well as fresh porchetta.Cafe Mamo...Wow! A hidden gem and absolutely fabulous restaurant in Grand Rapids! Tiny, I mean tiny but wonderful. Started with Bresaola, and then the half chicken with garlic scape, on a baguette. Ended with a brown sugar, sea salt single scoop of ice cream. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence is evident with the quality of my meal! Absolutely 5 stars!!!”
“LGBTQ+ friendly! It’s a bit dim, so if you hate eating in public, it’s awesome. Has a really nostalgic feeling to it- like going to your cool uncle’s basement bar in the 2000’s. Loved the food. Super clean. Staff was really fun and friendly! Very cozy.Vegetarian options: Black bean patties available.”
“100% recommend this place! We were traveling from our cottage back to metro Detroit and stopped here because when we called they said they were dog-friendly. They not only allow dogs, they LOVE dogs! Sabrina was our waitress and she was amazing. She went above and beyond, brought our pup a water bowl and a little treat. She had amazing knowledge of the menu and drinks and gave recommendations. I had a salad that had their chicken fingers on it- they're the best I've ever had!! My partner had a Philly sandwich and it was delicious!! So were the fries. I loved the Voodoo IPA on draft- it's a new favorite beer for me.Highly recommend this place! If you like dogs, a chill atmosphere, delicious food that's really prepared in-house, and great service- check this place out!! 10/10!!!”
“Went with friends to grab drinks after a class we are all taking nearby since many of us preferred non-alcoholic drinks and they have about five mocktails.Everything was great, food, drinks, staff, service, speed of service, cleanliness, atmosphere, highly recommend, I'd definitely go again. :)”
“We had a really nice time here! They have a huge variety of ciders and the bartenders are happy to give you samples before you commit to anything (great for me as I'm super indecisive). Favorites were their lemongrass (I don't see this listed online so perhaps it's super small batch?), apple raspberry, raspberry zero and both the blu-ish and blue gold (dry and sweet blueberry ciders, respectively). The flights were super reasonably priced! The best part about Vander Mill though was the small seating area in the actual cidermaking facility. There were only about 3-4 tables out there so we had the whole space to ourselves. It smelled deliciously apple-y and was a great place to take pictures with our ciders! Highly recommend this place for cider lovers and even cider skeptics thanks to the large variety and friendly bartenders.”
“This is gonna make me sound like an old curmudgeon, but I'm going for it anyway. First of all, I love this place. It has the most insanely affordable happy hours in Grand Rapids (which is surprisingly good), It's a fun place to get drunk and have fun with friends, and the atmosphere takes you from a busy city, to feeling like you've stepped in to an old cabin bar out in the sticks. The ONLY thing that keeps me from coming here more often (and here comes the curmudgeon part) is the level they play their music. The music itself isn't the issue. It's the volume. It's hard to have a decent conversation with anyone here, let alone even think clearly enough to convey a clear thought. It's like club level loud. Which really doesn't mesh well with the hunting cabin/lodge vibe the original owner was clearly going for. Besides that, I still go somewhat regularly when I'm in the mood for that.”
“Very nice place to get a burger. Everyone was friendly, even the owner who came out and chatted with me. Didn’t have a drink but understand that they are reasonably priced and good. Burger and fries cost a little more than those at the other nearby bars, but they were exceptionally good. I can definitely recommend.”
“My family was in town for a family reunion and we decided to go to Founders on a Friday night for dinner. There were 18 of us, and we did not arrive as one party. The staff were very accommodating and sat us close together so we could get up and visit each other. The food and beer were as expected: delicious! We kept our server on his toes, and he was fantastic”
“So this atmosphere isn’t for everyone but it is a lot of fun for those who like kitsch. Tons of throwback video games (we love to play Galaga and NBA Jam). Fun 70’s, 80’s & early 90’s TV shows playing and lots of graffiti artwork. It’s a whiskey bar and most servers are pierced and tatted up, but also friendly. We took our kids there when they were younger & now that they are in their 20’s they love it even more. Excellent food. Famous for their burgers. Get the chronic fries. The Road Runner was outstanding!”
“Absolutely delighted with my experience at Anna's House! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every need was met. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and made from high-quality ingredients. The attention to detail and presentation truly impressed me. Without a doubt, Anna's House deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. Can't wait to return for another delightful meal!”
“Such a treat to eat in a beautifully restored old building with elegant touches. Kane was our gracious server and made sure we had everything we needed. He was also friendly and liked to chat with us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I really wish they would bring back the grilled romaine lettuce head. I had it years ago and it was really really good.Parking: There is a parking garage behind the restaurant, however, it cost $12.00 after a couple hours on a Saturday. I could not find on street parking anywhere within a couple blocks of the restaurant.”
“Wanted to edit my first review to say i just ate there again, and by golly, they did it again!! Best freaking meal i've had since the last time we ate here!! End of edit// My fiance and I are staying at the Baymont directly behind this place, so we thought "well, hopefully it's good"... IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My mushroom and Swiss burger was the best I've ever had (Hotdogs Plus in Niles formerly had that title)! It tasted like the brioche bun (always delicious) was toasted on the grill with butter, and the cheese and shrooms were melted together like Spongebob and Squidward, it was GLORIOUS. And I need to express how well done the fried pickles were: everyone else just breads a giant hunk of sphere and calls it day; then you end up with a big chunk of hot pickle in your mouth with ranch, and the breading always comes off in one sheet - no bueno. Bagger Dave's has Fried Pickle Chips DONE RIGHT! Holy moly were they amazing! Perfectly crispy, breaded to perfection (not to much breading), and paired with some classic ranch dressing they were INCREDIBLE. We come to GR often for concerts, and if we're ever in this area again, I will 100% be eating here!”
“We had a great time at River North this past weekend! The service was great, food amazing, and the owner is so sweet! It’s so nice to see an owner who is actively involved in the day to day operations. All the employees were a joy to be around as well. All were helpful and accommodating to my food allergies. They also had quite a few vegetarian and vegan dishes!Vegetarian options: Yes!Kid-friendliness: Yes!”
“Stopped here for happy hour on a Friday, food and beer were great. The Pork Belly bites and the cheese curds are really good. The place has expanded from the last time I visited and it looks very good.Update: stopped by the other day for lunch. Had a Mojave burger, it was delicious.”
“The restaurant was nice, I very much liked the outdoor seating area. Service was good, but probably not great if you're in a rush. Food was tasty!Kid-friendliness: Good options on the kids' menu, and they gave him markers instead of crayons.Parking: Plenty of parking in back”
“I just got food from the Candied Yam for the first time. I got fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken was delicious, not too heavily breaded and the seasoning was very good. I will definitely be back to try the perch next time! I also feel like the price is very fair for the amount of food included. I was too full to try the cornbread but will heat it up tomorrow.”
“My dear friend took me on a date here for my Birthday. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The dishes were like an art, perfectly set up and unique pairings. We went with several appetizers and shared a pasta dish, a dessert and we both had a drink. We were definitely satisfied with the portions; they weren't huge by any means but they were decent enough. The downsides were 1. We sat outdoors and the service was incredibly slow. I'm talking, it took over 2.5 hours start to finish, and it wasn't because we were indecisive. The other downside (which totally wasn't their fault) was a young family sat directly next to us with 2 young children, and one of them would randomly shriek scream. I'm a mother of 2 young children and I absolutely believe children are welcome in public. It was just very loud and would catch us off guard. Spending nearly $200 on a nice dinner, you want to be able to fully enjoy it!”
“I love a good sour beer and that's their specialty. I lucked out as it was $2 drafts on Tuesday when I went, which meant I could enjoy a variety of beers without worrying about racking up a big bill. I ate a pizza as well and it was delicious and filling. I didn't think I would finish it, but somehow managed as I had a nice flow of beers to accompany the meal. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Grand Rapids.”
“Beautiful store with wonderful food! I love that they work with gluten free bakeries to have sweets and everyone was very friendly! I got the cheesy burger and mozzarella sticks and my partner got the chicken strips and it was all really good! Mozzarella sticks tasted just like I remember”
“Hear ye, food lovers and connoisseurs of conviviality! Let me regale you with a tale of gastronomic delight and warm camaraderie at the venerable Cottage Bar and Restaurant. This tale features my stalwart brother-in-law, my three spirited lads, and my plucky eight-year-old nephew.Upon our arrival, my brother-in-law and I found ourselves ensnared in a tussle of indecision, torn between the inviting warmth of the indoor seating and the charm of the cozy outdoor nook. The outdoor space won our favor, a decision we toasted to as we sat beneath the clear Grand Rapids sky.I embarked on a culinary journey with the Mushroom Burger, a succulent delight that tasted like a sonnet on the tongue, while my brother-in-law, Matt, consumed his burger with a speed that would've made a cheetah blush – it was devoured in a brisk 1.5 minutes! Our eight-year-old, Ben, in a momentous rite of passage, selected his first 'non-kids' meal, unable to resist the allure of the famous Cottage Burger. His satisfaction was as visible as the juices that trickled down his delighted grin.Meanwhile, the two-year-old was thoroughly entertained by the procession of fire trucks passing by, his excitement echoing in squeals of delight that could have rivaled the sirens themselves. The service at the Cottage Bar and Restaurant was nothing short of exemplary, a delightful accompaniment to the splendid food. As for parking, we found solace in one of the four coveted spots nestled in the alley, though street parking was plentiful as well.I tip my hat to the Cottage Bar and Restaurant, the oldest tavern in Grand Rapids, for offering an experience that is both delectable and wholesome. This venerable establishment has earned my heartiest five-star endorsement for its mouth-watering fare, stellar service, and a charming environment that brings families together. Rest assured, we shall return, drawn back by the memory of that perfect Mushroom Burger and the jovial rhythm of life at the Cottage.”
“I have been a fan of Culver's for years! Some of the best burgers I've had from a fast food place. However; this is my second visit in the last few months, and different locations even..and was a bit disappointed in the burger. There was no real flavor, and the meat was over cooked both times.”
“Cool little place. Has indoor and outdoor seating. There is a big wall of the beers they have of tap. Not a bad place to go to have a couple of drinks, but the food would be what I would go back for. I got the fried pickel chips and they were amazing. The fish and chips were also really good. The burgers and sandwiches were pretty big, and everything was reasonably priced. Really enjoyed my meal.”
“Broadway Bar was recommended to us by another bar owner in town and I am glad that we stopped in. It is definitely a 'dive bar' and I mean that in a good way. We were promptly greeted and sat at the bar. It is a small place that celebrates Christmas all year round. The bar has Christmas decorations up for 'Christmas in July' and more decorating will happen throughout the rest of the year. The bar could use a deep clean, but it is not gross or off putting. The owner's daughter was our bartender and was very friendly and conversive. She recommended we have their pretzel. The pretzel is so large that they custom ordered a hanger for it. The pretzel was very soft and the beer cheese was some of the best that I have ever had. We visited a second time during our trip and I got the ham and cheese and it was fantastic. If.you are looking for good drinks, conversation and food- Broadway Bar is a good place to stop.”
“This place puts all other chicken shacks to shame - especially the big chains. The tenders were phenomenal - huge, juicy, falling apart, and insanely flavorful. Combined with the fries, toast, house sauces, and seasonings, this is one of the best chicken tender meals I've ever had - and at a super fair price. The guys who run the place are awesome too! They'll take great care of you. Despite living downtown, I will be regularly making pilgrimages out to Four Brothers. And not to throw shade, but I was at Hancock a few days ago, and Four Brothers completely blows it out of the water. Like - no competition.”
“Vday, unreal, wife is chef and had only one comment, au grautin taters short on spices, and still great,, some dish or two usually goes home to be fixed, taters were eaten as was, and no fixes to any of the take home.Server Andrea, consummate. Personable, not intrusive, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, dish prep and ingredients, and fun. The atmosphere is quiet, subtle, no distractions. One glass wine, two mixed drinks, two entrées with sides, salad and mushroom soup as apps. Bone in ribeye, perfect. Salmon on rice, perfect. I'm rice-neutral, this was among the best I've ever had and could be eaten for breakfast every morning. Huge flavor. Asparagus was firm at the tip and no stranding down the stalk, and huge. All the portions were large enough for take home. We ate about half of everything. It's a lot of food. 2hrs of perfect coursing. All that for $240 with tip. Worth every penny.”
“The food there is amazing, The service was suprisingly fast and the overall food was good,One thing I can admit is that It took one time to correctly understand what we want, But hey, It was one person, Not bad for general stuffI highly recommend that people try out their Icecream because once you taste it you will never wanna go back to other places icecream, And the burgers are better then mcdonalds and burger kings burgersIf your unfamiliar with culvers, You should try it at least once, Its one of the healthier choices for "fastfood"”
“We love the food so much! The Bird-In-Hand is the adult's favorite and the sliders is the kid's favorite. "I wish I could give you more than 5 stars!" - L (age 9) Melanie was friendly, kind, caring, and answered all of our questions! We appreciated her smile!”
“We had some time to wait for our pizza to finish at Little Caesar’s, so we popped into Cheers where they were really nice. The wings seemed fresh made and it’s been so long since we had a delicious homemade wing! Man, what a great experience.”
“We had a hard time finding a place open for lunch on a Tuesday. We weren't looking for bar food, so we were reluctant to go to HopCat. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Great atmosphere, great beers (we tried four new ones to us) and both of us liked our meal. Tropical chicken tacos and the Buddha Bowl. We also had the fries, but I think the pretzel bites were better. We enjoyed and thank you HopCat!”
“I had higher hopes for this place. The feel and the workers were great. The food was not up to what I was expecting. I paid 8 bucks for the shake that I put a photo of on. They ran out of whip cream and it was pretty much like just drinking milk. It didn’t have the consistency of a shake at all. The burger wasn’t bad. Just expected it to have more flavor than it did.The group I was with several people got the Mac and cheese. They all said that it came out cold.”
“Wants to be more 'Fine Dinning' than the area will allow. It's also the small things like sticky tables and menus. Any other mid-tier place this isn't a huge deal, but when you serve average or slightly above average fair and slap an above average price on it, everything else should be spot on.Wait staff was perfectly fine, friendly and timely. We were even given a heads up about the added gratuity for parties of 8+ that was on the bill.Kid-friendliness: There was a kids coloring menu available.”
“Stopped in for some drinks and light food while watching the game on St. Patricks day. Relaxed pub atmosphere. Great selection of craft beers, including option of flights. Recommend burgers. Other food options were great as well. Server was friendly.”
“LongHorn is my favorite steak house chain!I like the porterhouse, but the parmesan crusted chicken is a great choice if you have people in your party that don't want or don't eat steak.Never disappointed and always worth the drive for me! Highly recommended!”
“Exquisite service from our server, Peter. Super friendly face who went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met (consistently refilling coffee when needed, brought more creamers when requested, explained in detail the flavor profile of the coffee of the month). Not to mention how incredible the food was. Will be back soon.”
“Girls' day out( a Saturday afternoon )I had been here the week before had the fish sandwich...it was outstanding. My friends wanted to go, so our 1st stop was here. They have daily lunch specials, my prime rib sandwich was amazing. My friends also enjoyed theirMeal also. We will be back”
“What a treat Saturday night to sit on the huge deck at Brickyard and enjoy a great trio covering classic rock tunes. Drinks were great and so was the food. Fried pickles, seared tuna salad and some really good burgers were just a few highlights. Our server could have been more attentive.”
“Hankering for a coney, we stopped by for a late Friday afternoon snack. The weather was so lovely that we elected to sit outside. Also, we had a puppy with us, so.....The experience was fine. The coney hit the spot, the fries were okay, the lemonade was good. Hard to shake the feeling that it was overpriced though..The service was "relaxed". Not exactly slow, but not at all vigorous..It was all acceptable, and we did have our coney itch scratched. Pretty sure there are better experiences to be had.”
“My husband and I have been coming to the Red Geranium for a few years now. Our experiences are always top notch! The staff, from the management to the hostesses, is great! The servers work as a team and are all very friendly and provide excellent service!! I have no reservations on which waitress we have, but have really gotten to know Shelley. I admire her stamina and commitment to be part of an excellent team, even with some physical limitations. Red Geranium will always be our go to place, especially for breakfast! We wish nothing but the best to the entire staff at the Kalamazoo Ave Red Geranium!!! Ken and Nan Olney”
“Great place for indoor and outdoor seating. I have been a few times and although they are always busy, they have a table available with only a short wait. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, answering questions and making recommendations. The food and the wine is always good! I tried the Buddha Bowl most recently and it was delicious. The friends I was with tried one of the pizzas and the shrimp tacos and they both loved their choices as well.Parking: Plenty of free parking. You may need to park further out in the lot, but they will have a space for you.”
“Still a good spot for vegan options (chef left who revamped the menu), but the new menu is great traditional bar food. Big patio, clean, pretty frequent to have small local bands playing outside in the summer. Staff is awesome, very friendly and accommodating.”
“The outside sign said voted Best Breakfast in Michigan! Absolutely wonderful place! Very unique breakfast and brunch dishes, from crepes to tacos, to skillets and more! Unique beverages to choose from, too. I had a homemade chai latte. Delicious! Staff was nice and the place has a very cute retro diner vibe. Best Breakfast in Michigan? I'd say so!”

“Back in my bar band days, our band Lefty Malone played a number of shows at the RCS. We would also come and play on jam nights with Everett. This past Wednesday was the first time I had been back since New Management took over. They've really clean the place up. It's all newly remodeled, with a more open floor plan. The gal that was working the day shift at the bar is my kind of bartender. She was always right there when I needed her, and quick witted. As a guy, she was easy on the eyes. So here's to you RCS! May you have more decades of continued success! ?☮️”
“We came for dinner and were seated right away. The food was great, would definitely recommend the Junkyard sandwich and upgrading to the tater tots. Service was very friendly and the place looks nice inside for a casual place to enjoy drinks and food. There is a bar inside as well as a couple TVs to watch sporting events above the bar.Parking: The parking lot is very small and tight, and there is no street parking nearby.”
“Since the last chance has decided to come back in full force, we have been back for our girls night and it just keeps on getting bigger and bigger each week. We are in LOVE with the new bartender Jess! She's the best, so funny, quick, always moving and super helpful. She has totally made our girls nights! If you're looking for a fun small chill spot where everyone is accepted, the last chance would be the spot for you. The outside area is great and they brought back karaoke nights. Thanks to the o.g. bartenders and the new bartender Jess, last chance is where it's at!”
“Stopped in here after googling "Grand Rapids vegan". Blown away by this place! The service was fast and friendly, the food was SO delicious (with many vegan options), and the whole vibe of the place is just great. We had a great time.”
“Great Staff, Great Food & a nice atmosphere. Lisa, Janice, Bree & Syd made me feel at home everytime I came into Big E's during my 2 week stay for work. Would definitely recommend.Edit- Add Tay to the list of good people @Big E's”
“This was one of the best meals that my wife and I have enjoyed since moving to the area 14 years ago. The food was delicious with many options from which to choose, very generous portions, extensive drink menus (wine and spirits), great service, etc.etc. The seating is well space so you're not on top of any other diners. It was our wedding anniversary and from the hostess to our table, there were 4 or 5 staff wishing us happy 38th; a very nice touch! And parking is right next door with an entrance directly to the restaurant. I can't think of anything they could have done better. It was terrific.”
