We had a chili dog, corn dog, smash burgers, and regular fries, and chili fries between all of us. It was great food. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. Chris was very friendly and answered my questions w/out me feeling like I was bothering. The food was hot, the onion rings were awesome. I can’t recommend this location enough. “We are here today for lunch. We are in town for States for Hockey and staying next door. By far the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Fast, very friendly service. We got the salad/pizza bar and my son wanted a specific pizza and the made it right away fresh and hot and came to our table to tell us when it was ready so he could go get some. He’s picky and sometimes hard to please with food and no restaurant has ever been this kind an amazing to him. We have been places that won’t even bring refills in seven time. This restaurant was on top of everything! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back as we frequent Grand Rapids with 3 kids in hockey.“

And, the selection of wines included Cupcake & Barefoot brands, both of which have MSG!

“We didn’t check what time they closed so we were kind of jerks and showed up half hour before closing. Even still the staff was all wonderful. It was our first time here so we took a minute ordering, but she was still sweet waiting patiently. When we got the food it was all excellent. They even took my mom’s/grandmas burger back to cut it in half because they always share one. I will definitely be returning hopefully while they still have the Krispy krab burger.“

I enjoy this place so much I’ve been there twice in a week, and purchased 22 meals from their weekly package meals. “Everything about this place is exactly what you would expect at an Applebee's. There's really not much to say about the differentness of any other Applebee's that i've been to, which is great. because consistency is key for chain restaurants. It is my first time getting an alcoholic drink at a restaurant, so that was a fun experience. The lady who served me was very polite and had good recommendations.“

“I love Hopcat. I have been before and I'll come again. The beers and fries were great, the burgers seemed a bit small this time around. The stand out this time was our server, Sophie. While it took a bit of time to be greeted, once we were, she was spot on. I hope to have her as a server again.“

- Cheese Burger - $8: The burger patty was medium well and decent. The toppings (lettuce, onion, and tomato) were extremely fresh and crisp. The mayo was extremely light and there was no ketchup. They did not have many of the typical burger sauces available in the dining area so I skipped adding more rather than asking at the counter. The bun was huge comparatively, soft but dense, and overall great.

- Fried Chicken Sandwich - $9: A breaded and fried chicken piece in a hoagie bun with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo. Delicious and large.

Their menu is quite extensive and unique. They have basic American food including burgers, phillies, fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets and wings, fish, and salad. They also have some unique items as well including gyros, egg rolls, crab rangoon, okra, crab, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, clams, lobster tail, and more.

- Service: Got the order right and was helpful. Mainly to the point. You order at the counter and pick it up at the counter when called.

- Atmosphere: There are about four tables with four chairs each. There is a self-serve soda dispenser (water available), a few basic condiments (no mayo), and a restroom. It was kept clean and updated.

- Conclusion: Good value and a basic restaurant atmosphere.

“Awesome all the way around! My friend and I are in GR about twice every month and a half for a medical appointment, so we try out different places when finished before we head home. Well, two medical appointments ago, we tried the Blue Dog Tavern. The service and food were so good, that we ate here the next time, and we plan on eating here again after the next appointment! Taylor waited on us both times, and she's fabulous--very personable and an excellent server. Then, there's the menu--how refreshing! Not the same ol' same ol'! And it does not hurt that New Orleans is my favorite city in the USA! So, treat yourself if you want a memorable meal and experience. Looking forward to the next time... :)“

“We were staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown and had just arrived. Both of us were very hungry and saw the hotel has an attached resturant. Not wanting to go much longer with out food we came down here after settling into our room for a bite.

Since neither of us eat red meat the offerings were limited, being a burger joint, but we still found items to our liking. We both went with a big salad and some fried pickles. Which were equally great. I don't remember our server but they were great.

“We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid. We heat our home at 68 degrees and are comfortable at that temp. We have tried mutliptle visits to Leo's Coney Island this winter...and each time the dining room has always been uncomfortablly chilly. When we pay to go out to eat, dining with our winter coats on and still being cold is not a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. We gave it another try last night visiting around 5:30pm (hoping the furnace was turned up). The dining area was extremely C-O-L-D! This could be why there were not many customers there? We asked the waitress if the heat could be turned up, and she replied, "No, the only person allowed to adjust the temperature is the owner, and he is not here". NOTE to Owner: Saving money by turning down the heat in the cold of winter does not provide a pleasant dining experience for your customers and certainly cannot be good for your business!
