“Brenna was our waitress on this out-of-town family visit, and she was fantastic! Our food was so delicious and so gorgeous!!! Hubby ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy that comes with a couple eggs. I ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict; with the tender corned beef, freshly wilted spinach, etc. They had sourdough as an option for toast, which my gut always appreciates! Highly recommend!! We will definitely be back! ➡️And we added Brenna's name to our phone contact for Real Food Co.!!!! A+ Busy, clean, great staff!!!!!❤️ #1 Best Restaurant in Grand Rapids!!!”
“Hosts at the front are always welcoming and so nice! This restaurant is so good at taking allergies seriously, helps when u have good workers and staff! I always get the Cuban sub gluten free bun with chips and it’s AMAZING !Dietary restrictions: A lot of gluten free!”
“Now THAT’S what i call a coney shop! This is a fundamental neighborhood institution with charm and dedication to the craft, adding their own spin. The new owners are great!Belgian fries are a must-order.Burgers are good too.Curry mayo is delicious and I never would have known!Korean corn dogs are just okay IMO, but other people seem to really like it.This is primarily a lunch place, but i think they would do well to stay open late on weekends”
“A member of our group said there was the best paddy melt he's ever had.Another member said the burger awesome.I had fish and onion rings. Truth be told wasn't happy about the Onion rings. They look perfect but I don't believe the grease was hot enough and the grease was caught behind the batter. The fish sandwitch was great, but it is the flat fish type.I still give it five stars as they are known for their Burgers and not the onion rings. It was 12:00 and grease gets cool because of the high number of orders. The atmosphere is authentic, It is an extremely old building that is one of the core historical landmarks that made grand rapids great.Built in 1924 next to the railroad tracks and closed in 1946 because the Shipman Coal office moved. It looks like an old railroad switch house but it was the old coal office to sell coal that arrived by rail. Without coal to homes Grand Rapids could not have been a big city it is today.I really hope that this remains a restaurant when sold and would love to return. This is a historical landmarks and the cost of administration is the cost of a meal.Parking: Limited parking but enough.”
“Great food, great service, Subway style ingredient bar gives you the flexibility to customize most anything you order. This is the same family that started the Pita house back in the day. The Tasty Gyro is the Sammy's Pita(which they can't say because they sold the franchise, so I'll say it here). If you miss what Sammy's was when they were in the back of the supermarket, you'll love their new place. The Gryo is generous and tasty, the Greek fries are well seasoned, and the baklava cheesecake is not overly sweet, which is perfectly balanced in our opinion. We will be back to try other things soon. You won't be disappointed if you stop in!”
“This is the one restaurant that I couldn't wait to write a review on. Only one other time in my 52 years here on earth have I received my entire meal as I ordered it. Eggs over medium: Absolutely no runny egg whites!! Hashbrowns: Extra crispy with onions. Sound simple? It should be, but it never is, I'm always the last one to eat and end up eating alone because I sent my meal back to be fixed. Well, not this time. My meal was so absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly that when we were leaving, we stopped to tell the waitress to make sure to compliment the chef. I hope she did!!! It's about an hour from home so I won't be able to go there once a week or anything but I'll definitely go once a month. It gives me something to look forward to. ?”
“I am in love with Wing Kings! Their food is on slam. Prices are reasonable, and the service is prompt and with a smile. I also love the location very easy to get to. Parking is good, and last but not least, the homemade banana pudding is the best I've ever had! Definitely cures a sweet tooth. ?”
“Do you want traditional fast food or diner food? Want to have a dining experience that is good for families? Want a place that is clean? Want employees who are helpful, respectful, and provide service with a smile? Want to have a burge, but avoid eating at a corporate place devoid of any feeling or soul? Well, Mr. Burger is what you have been looking for. Stop on by and you will probably leave a bit happier than when you came in!Kid-friendliness: Very affordable kid meals, and an atmosphere that is good for families!”
“I am a bit of a fish and chips snob. Blue Dog's fish were light, flaky and very tasty, not too salty and just the right portion for lunch. The fries were also delicious and, like the fish, light and not greasy. The service was attentive and speedy. I had a great time reconnecting with a friend.”
“We had a wonderful time here! We were staying near by at a hotel and this was in perfect walking distance. We ended up going through the back door but it didn’t seem like that mattered. It was loud inside but I expected that with this place and it honestly made the vibe better. Food was top tier. Absolutely wonderful food. We each got a burger and split an order of cheese curds and those were addicting! Burgers were cooked perfectly and the sides were great. We tried the fries and the Mac and cheese. Both were great but I gotta give the win to the fries! I added a fried egg to my burger and it was also cooked exactly as I wanted and just made everything better.Service was great! All staff were attentive and quick with drinks, questions, etc,.10000/10Parking: Lots of parking in the back!”
“I recently visited a restaurant that truly embodies the essence of a perfect dining experience. Rarely do I give full 5-star ratings, but this place undeniably deserves it. From the moment we stepped in, we were embraced like family. Despite the bustling crowd, the two servers efficiently managed the entire restaurant, taking orders and delivering food promptly. The menu boasted an array of delectable dishes, and we opted for the "I'm Not My Brother's Mac" with an extra serving of fried chicken. The portion size was incredibly generous, and the flavors were nothing short of amazing. The chicken was perfectly juicy, encased in flavorful breading, and the provolone cheese-covered Mac n’ cheese was simply divine. To complement our meal, we chose the house root beer, which was a delightful choice. My only regret is that they don’t offer it in bottles for us to enjoy at home – I would have gladly stocked up for a year!Beyond the culinary delights, the restaurant's interior was equally impressive. The decor was tastefully hip, featuring charming wallpaper that added to the overall character of the place. As a pleasant surprise, we were even gifted a complimentary root beer of our choice, enhancing our already delightful lunch experience. In summary, this restaurant not only excels in its culinary offerings but also in its warm hospitality and unique ambiance. It's safe to say that I couldn't have asked for a better lunch experience!”
“My wife and I both had burgers and fries. They were fantastic and reasonably priced unlike most places these days. She had kool-aid and I had Faygo which were nice to see on the menu as well! As someone who worked in food service for 20 yrs I can promise you that you’re in for a great local treat. We will be back for sure.”
“The Royale with Cheese in celebration of national cheeseburger day it was fantastic! Didn't realize it came with fries, so I ordered fries but they're delish! The cauliflower buffalo shareable was fab as well. The only downfall is I love stickers!! I purchased a sticker. did not get a sticker. Sad panda.”
“I totally love this place! It is definitely a diverse atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, the customer service is great, the food is excellent. I definitely would recommend this to go either celebrate or have a nice quiet afternoon, having a drink and getting some food. This place is awesome! They also have karaoke and a band sometimes and like I said it's and diverse atmosphere so anyone can go. Any color or any race.Wheelchair accessibility: They have front and back entrances. I believe they are both wheelchair accessible. And It's the chili cheese fries I like.?”
“So a friend told me about Too Tall’s this spring and I decided to try it out. I was surprised by the extend of their menu! I have tried their burgers, hotdogs, brisket(on the weekend) fries, cheese curds, and of course, the ice cream. I have not been disappointed yet. If you are looking for a yummy meal, bar or backyard bbq style meal, this is the place to get it. Im sure going to miss them between December and March!”
“Came for the highly recommended Veggie Burger. 2 options were a house made black bean burger and an impossible burger. Loved the many different toppings available! The person with me got the Impossible burger and said it was great. The black bean burger, like most other restaurants was mushy (undercooked) and fell apart as I was eating it. I can't wait till restaurants who tout their veggie burgers learn how to properly cook them! With that said I only took one star off my review because I'm just grateful there were multiple vegan options on this menu and the taste was really good.*suggestion: don't make them so thick, and bake them before grilling so you can be sure the inside is cooked properly. ?”
“I shared the Frisco melt and a side of fries with my mom, and it was delicious! Very friendly atmosphere and staff! The lock on the women's bathroom had me stumped cuz I wasn't sure it was actually locked... (that's a me problem!) but overall, I would eat there again!”
“Me and my wife have started our clean eatz journey, and I have already lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks just by eating their lunch and dinners every day. Food is fantastic, and we truly spend way more on going out to eat each week than we do getting the prepared meals. We dine in whenever we pick up our weeks worth of food.Parking: It is at the end of a strip mall and inside an old Wendy's, but you would even notice it.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair accessible.”
“THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER VISIT TO BAGGER DAVE'S. OUR WAITRESS WAS SPOT ON GREETING US, GETTING OUR DRINKS, SERVING OUR FOOD, GETTING EXTRAS, FOR US, CHECKING ON US. SHE WAS PERFECT!Parking: ADJACENT TO BAYMONT HOTEL SO PLENTY OF PARKING. ACCESS ON KRAFT AVE OFF 28TH STREETWheelchair accessibility: EASY WHEELCHAIR/ HANDICAPPED ACCESS.”
“For a quiet family dinner, this is our go to place! My girls love ordering at the line and then picking out a dessert. The staff are seriously the most friendly & kind. Breakfast all day, burgers and fresh fries & onion rings! Yummy!!”
“The employees Stephanie and Anna run this place phenomenally. I mean, the deals and specials they run, the way they treat customers and make people feel at home. These two keep the place alive!!!My girlfriend moved in near by months ago, and spend tons of time there just for the delicious fair priced food, awesome drinks and fantastic atmosphere. Themes every night. Awesome weekend parties. Just try it out!!!”
“I have been a fan of Culver's for years! Some of the best burgers I've had from a fast food place. However; this is my second visit in the last few months, and different locations even..and was a bit disappointed in the burger. There was no real flavor, and the meat was over cooked both times.”
“I just discovered Tip Top! Went to see one of my favorite bands there. What an AWESOME place and what AWESOME people. The atmosphere is spot on. The perfect venue to see a performance. Food and drinks were great The staff treated us like regulars, like they've know us for years. I live an hour and a half away but will DEFINITELY be returning often! Thanks for the experience!”
“Fast service, friendly staff, and clean. Kid friendly. Not too loud. Menu is fairly basic, but not a bad thing. Enjoyed out meal!Kid-friendliness: Several kids there, including ours. Not out of place, despite being more of a bar. Restrooms were clean.”
“I've been stopping in for lunch and got the 6pc fried jumbo shrimp and/or the mushroom and swiss burger, both items do not disappoint! Service has been fast in the drive thru, but I haven't stopped when I see a line so not sure how quick they are in a rush.”
“This is everything you want out of a bar and grill. All of our burgers came out piping hot, cooked correctly, and clearly came to the table moments after being plated. The fries were a little salty but were so hot and fresh it didn't matter. The staff was friendly and simply did what they were supposed to. The bench seat was comfortable and the table was clean. The only room for improvement was I wish the waitress had told me she was charging me for a full extra side of cheese when I asked for a small sample of their house made cheese. It was around a $1.50 surprise that embarrassed me since I wasn't the one paying the bill.”
“Amber & Lexi we’re ABSOLUTELY AMAZING…. their attention was EXCELLENT, the Food was Great & Atmosphere phenomenal!!!!!I can not recommend this Place Highly enough!!!!!!!!Mario was Wonderful too … he helped me set up the decorations, he was so SWEET & Fun!!!!!!!”
“There is nothing we don't love about Leo's!! Except maybe how many choices there are ;) a very rich, diverse menu that, for once, is authentically Greek (and I should know; I am Greek). Most authentic tzatziki and gyro I have had here in the US.Wholeheartedly recommend!Service was very friendly (thanks Liz!) too!!!”
“This Mr Burger always has amazing food and great staff, but can be super busy. There are a bunch of churches nearby that cause the place to get really busy after Mass is done, and a lot of people come here all the time as regulars. It gets super busy and you can wait in line almost twenty minutes sometimes.”
“When i first walked in, i immediately noticed it was very dim. I'll admit, i thought about turning around and leaving but decided to give them a try.I'm glad i did! I gotnthehot roast beef sandwich, it was delicious! If you've ever read my other reviews, you know I'm very picky, opinionated, and not easily impressed.Had lava cake for dessert. Definitely willing to go back.Yum!”
“This was a great place to go. Nice and clean. Good environment, nice people. Only gave a lower star because the service was slow but that was due to being under staffed for a Friday night.People did the best they could and the food was great, just a little slow.Would definitely go back!”
“The fries were not the best. That said however....THE BURGERS WERE ABSOLUTELY SLAMMING!!!!!!!!!!Grand rapids has a new contender in the fight for best burger. The patties were fresh , juicy, with just enough sear on them to cause that Chris that tastes so good. The cheese was properly melted, even the condiments fit great.THIS PLACE WILL SEE ME AGAIN. I CAN TELL YOU THAT FOR SURE!!!!!!!!Vegetarian options: They actually have a vegan hamburger option, I haven't tasted it, but I heard it's good.”
“We've been big fans of Broad Leaf since they only had their Kentwood location, and of course we were so pumped to have the west side location open up! This spot is smaller, but the vibes are the same, right down to the art on the walls. Broad Leaf had an interesting flight for the flights of flavor campaign- both a bao board and draft cocktail flight! You can get either flights (or both!) and I was feeling a boozy slushy so I got just the bao! Derek, however, gets a beer flight every time we go, because they always have SO MUCH new to try! (And if I'm not drinking a boozy slushy, you'll catch me with a Sour Lake of some sort in my hand!)The bao was SO GOOD. It made me sad I missed this years bao down, because Broad Leaf always kills it with their bao! Always unique flavor profiles, and always delicious. Derek also got the ramen, which was heavenly. With the colder weather moving in, I'm gonna need more of that in my life.We didn't check out the biergarten, but I've heard that's also a lovely spot to hang out and have some drinks!”
“This place is a classic, anyone that disagrees is a liar. Apps are amazing especially if you're drunk af off them dollaritas. Service is always amazing and they're always checking up on you, when it's busy it's a lil different but hey they're waiting on 40-50 people and more. Place is just the classic Applebee's neighborhood bar and grill like it always it is, classy af y'all. Never go wrong with just going to Applebee's and a bitch can fuck up some wings too lemme tell ya.”
“Nice local place. Service is usually very prompt and always has been nice! They let us sit outside even when the outside doors are shut until close. Very accommodating. I've never had their food, so I can't speak to that. Drinks are fine. I'll keep going.”
“The food, pricing and service was very nice, the noise level and cramp feeling was a not. It was very overwhelming. I happened to stop during lunch rush. There was very little space to wait for a open table and individuals waiting were steadily moving around to let the line checking out thru, If you have anxiety in tight areas I don't suggest to go at a peek time lol but I DO suggest this place to anyone that enjoys breakfast foods and a fantastic burger!”
“Loved my visit, I was only drive thru but, service was fast and when ya look in the kitchen you can see they have quite a good set up for getting orders out fast. Also want to applaud the girl who took my order, she was fast, and a multitasking queen and did everything with ease!!Food was pretty good, the steakhouse burger I had was really good but comparable to Culver's, the shake I had was really good however, nice and thick. BBQ sauce was definitely some of the best sauce I've had in a long time. Id go back for a quick snack”
“Always amazing service. The owner was out shoveling snow when we arrived back during the winter season. The servers seem happy. The owner was busy cooking when we visited in April. All the food is always soooo good too!Kid-friendliness: The kids have multiple options and they love the food every time we go!”
“I had dinner here while I was in the area, and I thought the food was great. They served everything quickly, and the portions didn’t skimp at all. I got a Maxwell Street Polish sausage and a Chicago dog, and both were packed with toppings and flavor. The waitress was friendly and took care to make sure we had a good experience. It’s nice to know there’s a place serving these Chicago staples in the GR area.”
“It was our first time here so we really wasn't sure. The girls behind the counter were so nice and didn't rush us to make an order. We got the chicken gizzards omg delicious and I loved my lemon pepper fries we will definitely be returning for more.”
“This is a top notch casual restaurant/ bar. A great combo of very good food at a very reasonable price with staff that is consistently very good. We are regulars which says a lot because we eat out often at many different places. We rate places as "we will go again" or "we won't". This one is we will. The daytime staff is fun.”
