“Frequently meet friends and have some of the best brunch in the city. Always busy but for a reason, and the service and hospitality which are already top notch, do not suffer. An example of this is when they bring you your food they remember who ordered which plate. This is one of those underrated hospitality things they do that other establishments don’t reach. “Our favorite restaurant no longer serves Manhattan style clam chowder and we are nothing less than heartbroken. We didn't realize that our favorite thing there wasn't popular enough to retain as a menu item when Leo's changed hands. We can live with the smaller lobster tails, but this is really hard for us to take. Cry.“

“One of the best sports bars in the state. They have a couple locations and all of them are good. Grear selection of beer. Including local breweries. While the food is standard bar fair, it is really good. The Wings and pizza have always hit the spot. Service is great and always a great view for whatever game you want to watch.“

“Flew in to visit a friend and came to Max’s after my flight on Friday. I was in for a treat! The spicy tuna roll was actually spicy & one of the best I’ve ever had. “I love this place because of the really good seasonal ciders they have and their outside patio you can sit at all year round! Whether its a beautiful summer night or a cold winter night wrapped in a blanket under the heat lamp this place has always been a favorite of mine! “My favorite place in all of Grand Rapids. A must visit every time we are in the area. Love all of their ciders, and the customizable flights. Their addition of the bites pairing with the flights was a great idea and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. AND they were hosting a dog adoption event at the time of our visit so they support local causes.“

“We came to try out the city sen restaurant. My husband had the mushroom goat cheeseburger. He said it was juicy and flavorful --no condiments necessary. I had the beef quesadillas. although this was on the shareable menu, it was quite large enough for me as a meal. The food was good, but it was the little amenities that made it very special --the unique silverware, carafe of ice water and pleasant ambient music in a modern setting made it a very special place for our date. It was fun to people watch through the open air windows. ( they fold close to keep in the AC if needed )Alex the manager shared with us some things we want to come back for, live music, etc. definitely planning to go back!

Wheelchair accessibility: The restrooms are quite large with low sinks and wide stalls. Although they are on the lower level, the elevator is also large and quite quick.“

“We have gone here for years and have never cared for the vinegar red Cole slaw. Tonight we went and it is a green Cole slaw and was delicious. Great change. Maxie was our waitress and I was so impressed with her. Great job! One of the best servers at Walker Roadhouse“
