The Commons Reviews
A fantastic hidden gem! The atmosphere was unique and authentic, the food was amazing (highly recommend the wings), and the service was top notch. The place is a little hidden but totally worth it - you won't be disappointed.
Cute, fun place.
Great atmosphere and food
We went to The Commons for the first time last night. We had a great experience start to finish!! The vibe was great, the staff were amazing and the food was delicious. A special shout out to the waiter and kitchen staff who accommodated my dietary restrictions with so much care. The Commons is a cozy bar and restaurant known for its warm and friendly staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. Located in the lower level of an old apartment building, the establishment has a unique 60's retro vibe, reminiscent of a hidden speakeasy. The food has received praise, with highlights including the breakfast sandwich featuring homemade chicken sausage, buttermilk pancakes with butterscotch syrup, and the twice cooked wings, which are considered some of the best. Guests also enjoy the apple butter Brie dip and the taco-rito filled with cheese, ground beef, and Fritos.
While many reviews celebrate the excellent service and delicious food, some note occasional lapses in attention to detail, such as sticky floors and worn upholstery. However, the accommodating nature of the chef, especially for those with allergies, stands out as a positive aspect. The Commons has a fun brunch menu and well-crafted cocktails, making it a popular hangout spot for both day and night gatherings. Overall, The Commons is described as a delightful neighborhood place that many look forward to returning to.
