“Typical US tavern, located in the town of Rockford (Michigan). They only open in the late afternoon.If you're looking for a nice atmosphere, this is a good place. 17 TV screens spread over all the walls of the place, amazing. The only place where I have watched more TV together is at MediaMarkt ?“
“The choo-choo grill is an endangered species. A throwback to a simpler time where Food wasn't trying to be cutting edge but instead just focused on being delicious. The choo-choo grill is your classic American diner. Serving up both breakfast and lunch the food is not fancy, but it is made with love And is made well. The interior is small two booths and counter seating only. What is probably most remarkable, though is that you're only a stranger there once. Every time we dine in, I am amazed at the number of regulars and repeat customers. What's even more impressive that they are remembered by the staff in return. There's terrific community connection going on within this small brick building. Rick, Kathy and Mary do a fantastic job making you feel welcome while simultaneously keeping your coffee mug filled and your order out to you fast. My personal go to is always the cakes and more there is something about a fluffy pancake hot off the flat top that is just magical and don't you dare leave without trying one of their malts ! The chocolate peanut butter is to die for! Currently the building is for sale, so who knows how much time we'll have left before the last train pulls out of the station, so get in and enjoy it while you can.“

The atmosphere excellent, however our server was "NOT GREAT", I don't remember his name but his excuse for poor service ( we had to flag him down EVERYTIME we needed something, he never once stopped by to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. I will definitely go again as I'm sure it was just a fluke and I just happen to get one bad server so I will give it another go but the food was Top Shelf and the atmosphere was perfect“
“Charlie's has to be one of my favorite places to eat ever. Super friendly staff, Charlie herself comes by every single time. Wait staff and bartenders are all great. Tracy was our server tonight, possibly the best service we've ever had! The food was also great, especially the mussels and the potato skins. Fried pollack is hand breaded. Smelt battered in house too. Kids Mac and cheese, Charlie brings candy for the kids. What's not to love? If we could, we'd go every week.“

The food was so good and eclectic. We came on a Saturday later in the day around brunch time and it was busy so be prepared to possibly wait. But it's worth it!“

“My wife and I were looking for something a little different as we drove down Plainfield. We always like to go to small mom and pop's and Cafe Mamo hit the spot. The exterior is misleading, looking small, but the inside although not big, did seem roomy with many tables.We shared the pasta dish, it was simple but full of flavor. The rolls were soft and delicious with creamy butter. For dessert we enjoyed the cake and wow, it was a surprise with all it's wonderful tastes.Our service was warm and greeting. We enjoyed our entire experince.“

“Came here for appetizers. We ordered Brussel sprouts, kale and crab Rangoon flatbread. Everything was perfect. I really enjoyed all of the food we tried. I’d like to come back and try more things on the menu. The table next to us ordered the fish and chips. It looked amazing. Definitely want to try that next!“
“What a pleasant spot! Great atmosphere for drinks and meeting with friends. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The brussels sprout appetizer was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend.We sat at the wooden bench-style booth in the corner. My only complaint is that the bench wasn't very comfortable. It feels like you're sitting at a picnic table. There isn't a good way to sit without getting uncomfortable after a few minutes. I think a few pillows would make that front corner table even cozier! There are all different types of seating, not all seats are this wooden bench type.Overall, I would recommend giving Long Road Distillers a try!!“

“We had a reservation for a party of 12, but due to a miscommunication between staff when the reservation was made, we ended up having to be seated last-minute at separate booths. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us; a few mix-ups, but they were fixed ASAP and staff remained courteous, friendly, and helpful throughout. Food was great too. “This review is strictly for the catering of a wedding dinner. We went with our son to try the food before the big day and honestly wasn't that impressed with the options. There were a few better than others. Our son and daughter in-law to be decided on what they wanted for their dinner. The big day was here and the place looked great when we arrived. Tables were arranged and looked great. Staff was excellent and nice. The food was a hundred times better than the tasting was. All in all, we were very pleased with the whole experience.
