“First let me say I first tried this place yesterday, I was skeptical because I hadn’t heard of it, we loved it me and my boys. So we went back today and I was able to meet the Manager/Owner Hatel if I spelled that correctly(smile) but this is our new chicken spot. Most importantly the staff is very nice so far that I have experienced…Great service and great food… thank you and keep up the good work.“

“whenever I have doctor's appointments in downtown Grand Rapids, my hubby always asks me to get food from here. he used to live close to it and misses it SOOOOO much. So, we had some money today and I headed straight there to get me some GOOD fried chicken and perch. parking can be a pain, but it's definitely worth the wait and hassle. I also think it's soooo cool that they remember my boyfriend, by name, when I showed him a picture of us, and it's been a good 3 years since he has been there physically.“

“Me and my husband came to Wing Kingz and ordered the chicken wing combo. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious and these are the best wings I’ve tasted in Grand Rapids. The tropical koolaid is so good and the fried okra and fries were delicious. Friendly customer service and will definitely be coming back. Definitely recommend.“

Kid-friendliness: We had a kid with us and he is very little you could tell he was a child and no menu was brought for him. I don't know if it's not mandatory to get kids menu's when there's a child or you have to ask for one if you have a kid, but I just wanted to put it out there, and we did ask for one and got one.“

“Overall, very good. We arrived during happy hour and it was pretty busy outside and we only saw a couple of servers. The patio had a lovely atmosphere, although the table next to us was definitely close enough to eavesdrop on our convo, we were just chatting casually, so it was fine.

The only actual negative was that we didn't know we couldn't get a bottle of wine at happy hour price before our server brought it and opened it at our table. I think we would have saved 20 or so dollars if we had just bought 4 glasses instead.

The goat cheese appetizer was very yummy. We could have used 2 or 3 more pieces of bread, but we ended up just eating it with the spoon because we couldn't let it go to waste. For entrees, we had mac and cheese and the al pastor bowl. Both very good and well seasoned. For sure we will come back, it was a nice afternoon spot and felt very casual.

“I drove an hour to try this place, and I'll be making the drive again. The inside was super clean, the food was SO delicious, an excellent selection of food, and the kindest staff. There was a little bit of a wait for the food, but it was so tasty, and fresh, that I didn't mind at all.“

“Who ever the cooks were early this afternoon, baby, the food was perfectly cooked. My catfish fillets were golden and just the right crunch. The chicken wings were cooked so good that I ate all of them. I asked for all dry seasoning and that’s just what I got. I also like their coleslaw as well as their Kool-aid. It’s not too sweet or sour. Great job to you sirs for all you do. I cannot forget to tell how nice and polite everyone who works here is.“

“The service and food were excellent. Wings were spicy and delicious. Onion rings crispy. We were staying at the Radisson and wanted to walk somewhere for dinner instead of an Uber. The walk over was along a busy road, but the sidewalks are clear and wide the whole way. The interior was small and uncomfortable. I think I would have enjoyed the food more to go.“

“Their New York style pizza crust was a pretty good take on NY pizza, but the rest of the pie was not NY. I am not from NY but have spent my share of time on nybpizza quests in all 5 boros. This pie way too much of the mozzarella they brag about that was loaded on a sauce that has ZERO to do with the basil/ fennel sweetness of a NY pie. To serve a NY pie, you can't use a detroit sauce and it is essential to use a blend of cheeses instead of overdoing the mozzarella to the point of being the rubbery schmotz we received. Place was clean, phone order was efficient and our pies were ready when we arrived. As for detroit style pizza?... it's not my thing. In a pinch I would go to a jets again for cleanliness, service, and great attitude... but the food is not my fave“

His solution was to immediately send out a driver to the store to get more ingredients to make them. The best part? “I just had a wonderful experience at this Papa John's location. My husband and I ordered two Philly Cheesesteak Parmesan Crusted Papadias and the 6 cheese Tuscan Cheese Sticks, and they put tomatoes on mine (I'm assuming it was a new employee.) Well, I am deathly allergic to tomatoes.My husband walked in and told the manager as such. I unfortunately didn't get his name, but he was generous enough to remake my food himself, and refunded the entire order!We were ecstatic! Could not recommend him and this location enough.“
