“TLDR: come for karaoke with Bob on Saturdays!
We love karaoke so of course we’re going to come see TNT karaoke with Bob! The atmosphere of this place is “west side dive bar” and we love to grab a Stroh’s or a Long Island Iced Tea! (limit 2 because they’re mega strong )
We came on a Wednesday night(not the night of these pics) for karaoke and for the life of me I can’t remember the name of the woman running it, but she was a doll and gave me some spider plants! ?
You never know what you’ll get at the PlayStation Pub. I highly recommend ?
Parking: If the lot is full, you can park down the street“

“Great small venue for concerts! I saw a few rock bands there and would recommend some kind of earplugs for louder genres of music. Can't comment on prices as we didn't get anything- they did have free water in a watercooler which was nice. Great location also, nearby to parking garages (2$ per half hour). Would definitely come back in the future.“

“Great restaurant and bar with friendly customers that look after each other. Good food and service with reasonable prices. Bud and Stanley’s reminds me of a good family restaurant that i grew up in and one that continues to have values. Keep up the great work and thank you for keeping the place family friendly.“

“The employees Stephanie and Anna run this place phenomenally. I mean, the deals and specials they run, the way they treat customers and make people feel at home. These two keep the place alive!!!My girlfriend moved in near by months ago, and spend tons of time there just for the delicious fair priced food, awesome drinks and fantastic atmosphere. Themes every night. Awesome weekend parties. Just try it out!!!“

“Very good, for the price. Probably can't find better food for the price. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was a little loud (to be expected, for a pub). Perfect if you are in the mood, for a pub atmosphere..
Parking: Free if you can find a spot, on the street. Paid parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu.“

“The price of the drinks is very reasonable. The bar tenders are always friendly. They recently got a card machine so you don't have to bring a wad of cash with you. It's always a good hangout if you want to play pool or shuffleboard.“

“Beautiful downtown area. They had a very chill vibe inside. They also had Peach Long Drinks! Big bonus for that! Our meals were delicious and everything was made fresh. The Garlic Parm Tots were divine. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch sometime“

“Decent place. GR "dive" bar... exactly what it's supposed to be. Mostly regulars, so expect to have to figure out the best way to order, get served, get keno, etc. Didn't eat, just drank, and prices were fair. No complaints here- it is what it is.“

“There are a few bars in Grand Rapids that open at 7am and accommodate third shift workers. This is by far my favourite. The Logan's Breakfast is a generous, affordable option after a long night of work, coupled with their ample options for beer, and accepting staff.“

“Great food, the service is exceptional. Plan a bit for parking in case there are any events going on, but there is plenty of space for people to park within a 2 minute walk! The mixture of ready food from local eateries, drinks, and knowledge of service all create a genuine feel of a local pub!“

“Great place no cover. Went this 4/20/2024. Had an awesome free live show. G of to see three dope bands play and PBR on tap cheap and beat as ever. One of my favorite places to check out live music plus has a great vibe.
Parking: Kinda have to look around for a place to park for a second, but usually not long.“

“Good pub with a nice burger and fries. Service was a bit lacking, though nice.
- Big Easy: Half pound standard burger ordered medium and got it medium. The burger was juicy and cooked the way I like it. The rest of the burger was fairly plain and not much else to write home about. The cheese was not melted much. I saw it had mustard and no ketchup, so I freaked and asked them for ketchup instead of mustard which they did.
I thought the burger was a little overpriced compared to the many of the other places I have visited in the area. If it were that good, I wouldn’t have a problem paying the price, but it was too plain to charge $16 and only get chips.
- Fries: I upgraded to the fries. They were again fairly plain, but done right. They are medium sized steak fries with a good fluffy center and medium softer outer skin. They stayed warm until the end and were cooked just right.
- Crispy Brussels Sprouts: WOAH! Powerful taste. There are several well balanced flavors that were nonetheless screaming for attention on this dish. I do like brussel sprouts and these were great, but a bit too much.
That said, the parmesan was added as large shavings rather than grated which gave a great texture. The bacon is always a nice touch. The sherry gastrique was very sweet and powerful. There was a sour flavor to it as well that hits you at first, but settles down as you become acquainted with the initial shock. I liked it and it is worth trying. You’ll have to be the judge, though. It is a unique flavor.
Not on the menu, but they have gluten free buns. Also, their Barnyard Burger was listed apart from the other burgers and I missed it. Their menu needs a bit of organization.
They also have Shepherd’s Pie. Maybe I’ll come back and try that some time.
They also list specials on their website. They are mostly drinks, though. I do see occasional specials for food listed on their Facebook page.
- Service: We were greeted at the door immediately and seated at a booth at our request. However, that is where it seemed to go downhill. We looked over our menu and were ready to order and waited a good while (it was NOT that busy). Finally, I ended up sticking my head into the isle and being served by someone who wouldn’t have served us otherwise. Waters were finally brought (though never refilled) and our orders were taken. When served, it did come in a timely fashion, though. Paying also took a while. We had the credit card on the table for a good 5 minutes or more waiting to pay.
BEWARE: The tip by default is 25% when paying by credit card. I didn’t notice until it was too late, especially since we were trying to get out as soon as possible since it was taking too long. I would NOT have tipped that much for our experience. Lesson learned.
- Atmosphere: The booths have hard wooden backs, but cushioned seats (a bit worn, but not bad at all). The wood is warn down I think on purpose. It gives it that old-world feel they boast of. I felt like we were in Ireland or Scotland. There is a decent amount of old-world decor and the main of the inside is dark wood. It was overall comfortable in spite of the wooden backs.
The music playing in the background was almost imperceptible. I could not hear it unless I really listened for it. Talking to my wife was not an issue and I appreciated that.
The bathrooms were a tad small, but were okay. My wife mentioned the women’s room was a bit unclean, but I didn’t think the men’s room was bad.
To call this place a “gastropub” (according to their Google Maps description) I think is a bit of a stretch. I think it is more of a pub with a slightly greater emphasis on the food than a pub. Maybe somewhere in the middle. I am guessing they have been around for almost 14 years (November 5, 2010 according to their Facebook “

“Second time visiting, and it's a nice spot for lunch. Tried their chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, just not for me. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers and salads. I recommend trying out their beers by ordering a flight. We went around 3 and didn't have to wait. Service is friendly, really no complaints“

“Cute little spot! The decor is very old school - think '500 years ago' old school. The server was very nice and helpful. I had a flight and tried 3 meads. They were all delicious, but the classic mead was a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Still delicious though.“
