“We are here today for lunch. We are in town for States for Hockey and staying next door. By far the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Fast, very friendly service. We got the salad/pizza bar and my son wanted a specific pizza and the made it right away fresh and hot and came to our table to tell us when it was ready so he could go get some. He’s picky and sometimes hard to please with food and no restaurant has ever been this kind an amazing to him. We have been places that won’t even bring refills in seven time. This restaurant was on top of everything! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back as we frequent Grand Rapids with 3 kids in hockey.“

“The dog friendly patio was the perfect temperature. Not too crowded. We brought our dog Rosa. She was behaved well until a guy approached to pet her and smelled of alcohol. But she was an angel with the ladies at the table next to us. We had the nachos with pulled pork to share and got a bowl of tots each, me the crab rangoon and my fiance the chorizo. It was all amazing. Our waitress was friendly and very polite. We came for lunch on a Thursday. Not very crowded at all. Definitely coming back :)“

“Great bar to go see live bands on Friday and Saturday. Everything on the menu is good. I especially love having the Waffle Burger on Saturday nights, but their wet burritos and this BBQ Bacon Chicken pizza is also good. They have Karaoke during the week but a live band 9pm-1am every Friday and Saturday. I would highly recommend them especially if the Hattrick Band is playing. You will remember the good times. The fish was perfectly flakey inside, not dried out at all, and crispy outside. The fries and onion rings were perfect, and I even loved their tartar sauce(many places use sweet relish, this place doesn't. I'm a fan of dill relish personally) My drink was called a Strawberry Lemon Smash I believe, also incredible(Bourbon, Lemonade, and Strawberry Puree). All around amazing experience, so this will be a new regular spot for sure.“

“Great comfort food. I had the triple Mr. Burger with coleslaw and potato salad, and all of it was very good. A little pricey, but still worth it. It’s not your typical sit-down diner where you’re seated by a waitress, given a menu, you place your order, and they bring your food to you. It’s actually the vintage concept (kind of like the Red Grille in the old Woolco department stores) where you take a tray, order your food at the counter, wait while they cook your food, and then you pay at the register at the end of the line. Along the way, you can also grab extras like salads, sides, and desserts.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in the 70’s and 80’s again. They even had retro music playing over the speakers!“

- Cheese Burger - $8: The burger patty was medium well and decent. The toppings (lettuce, onion, and tomato) were extremely fresh and crisp. The mayo was extremely light and there was no ketchup. They did not have many of the typical burger sauces available in the dining area so I skipped adding more rather than asking at the counter. The bun was huge comparatively, soft but dense, and overall great.

- Fried Chicken Sandwich - $9: A breaded and fried chicken piece in a hoagie bun with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo. Delicious and large.

Their menu is quite extensive and unique. They have basic American food including burgers, phillies, fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets and wings, fish, and salad. They also have some unique items as well including gyros, egg rolls, crab rangoon, okra, crab, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, clams, lobster tail, and more.

- Service: Got the order right and was helpful. Mainly to the point. You order at the counter and pick it up at the counter when called.

- Atmosphere: There are about four tables with four chairs each. There is a self-serve soda dispenser (water available), a few basic condiments (no mayo), and a restroom. It was kept clean and updated.

- Conclusion: Good value and a basic restaurant atmosphere.

“My visit to Burger Theory was fantastic from beginning to end. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, everything was clean, and the staff made us feel appreciated as soon as we walked through the door.

I ordered a build-your-own grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mayo, along with a side of seasoned fries and a cold Sprite. The sandwich was cooked perfectly—the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and paired well with the fresh toppings. The fries were one of my favorite parts of the meal: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered.

I especially want to recognize the outstanding service we received. Henry, our host, greeted us with a smile and got us seated quickly, making us feel welcome right away. Carlos, our server, was equally impressive. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks stayed full while checking in throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. His positive attitude and excellent customer service really stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable.

By the end of the meal, there wasn’t much left on either of our trays, which says everything about how good the food was. We enjoyed every bite! It’s always a great sign when a meal is so satisfying that you clean your plate.

Between the delicious food, generous portions, clean dining area, and exceptional hospitality from both Henry and Carlos, Burger Theory earned every one of these five stars.
