“Vintage in the Zoo is an institution, definitely a jewel in our fair city. They have all the usual assorted vintage items to peruse, killer DJs, a record vendor cuz duh. “food is usually very good but the last time i had shrimp dinner and the shrimp were fried too long, almost burnt, and a week ago had fish dinner and same thing fish were fried too long. Just need to reduce the frying time for those two items“

“We are here today for lunch. We are in town for States for Hockey and staying next door. By far the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Fast, very friendly service. We got the salad/pizza bar and my son wanted a specific pizza and the made it right away fresh and hot and came to our table to tell us when it was ready so he could go get some. He’s picky and sometimes hard to please with food and no restaurant has ever been this kind an amazing to him. We have been places that won’t even bring refills in seven time. This restaurant was on top of everything! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back as we frequent Grand Rapids with 3 kids in hockey.“

“Great comfort food. I had the triple Mr. Burger with coleslaw and potato salad, and all of it was very good. A little pricey, but still worth it. It’s not your typical sit-down diner where you’re seated by a waitress, given a menu, you place your order, and they bring your food to you. It’s actually the vintage concept (kind of like the Red Grille in the old Woolco department stores) where you take a tray, order your food at the counter, wait while they cook your food, and then you pay at the register at the end of the line. Along the way, you can also grab extras like salads, sides, and desserts.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in the 70’s and 80’s again. They even had retro music playing over the speakers!“

“Awesome all the way around! My friend and I are in GR about twice every month and a half for a medical appointment, so we try out different places when finished before we head home. Well, two medical appointments ago, we tried the Blue Dog Tavern. The service and food were so good, that we ate here the next time, and we plan on eating here again after the next appointment! Taylor waited on us both times, and she's fabulous--very personable and an excellent server. Then, there's the menu--how refreshing! Not the same ol' same ol'! And it does not hurt that New Orleans is my favorite city in the USA! So, treat yourself if you want a memorable meal and experience. Looking forward to the next time... :)“

Only thing I would say is the writings on the wall are not child friendly , and even worse in the bathroom 😅 it was interesting to hear what each person read on the walls when they came back to the table😂 it did provide some entertainment though!“

“Great bar to go see live bands on Friday and Saturday. Everything on the menu is good. I especially love having the Waffle Burger on Saturday nights, but their wet burritos and this BBQ Bacon Chicken pizza is also good. They have Karaoke during the week but a live band 9pm-1am every Friday and Saturday. I would highly recommend them especially if the Hattrick Band is playing. You will remember the good times. - Cheese Burger - $8: The burger patty was medium well and decent. The toppings (lettuce, onion, and tomato) were extremely fresh and crisp. The mayo was extremely light and there was no ketchup. They did not have many of the typical burger sauces available in the dining area so I skipped adding more rather than asking at the counter. The bun was huge comparatively, soft but dense, and overall great.

- Fried Chicken Sandwich - $9: A breaded and fried chicken piece in a hoagie bun with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo. Delicious and large.

Their menu is quite extensive and unique. They have basic American food including burgers, phillies, fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets and wings, fish, and salad. They also have some unique items as well including gyros, egg rolls, crab rangoon, okra, crab, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, clams, lobster tail, and more.

- Service: Got the order right and was helpful. Mainly to the point. You order at the counter and pick it up at the counter when called.

- Atmosphere: There are about four tables with four chairs each. There is a self-serve soda dispenser (water available), a few basic condiments (no mayo), and a restroom. It was kept clean and updated.

- Conclusion: Good value and a basic restaurant atmosphere.

“So as my college student’s know, customer service is a pet peeve of mine. Well I just had a top notch customer service experience at your store. It is just as important to say good job, as it is to be upset when thing are substandard. So thank you for showing me my business is important.“

“We were staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown and had just arrived. Both of us were very hungry and saw the hotel has an attached resturant. Not wanting to go much longer with out food we came down here after settling into our room for a bite.

Since neither of us eat red meat the offerings were limited, being a burger joint, but we still found items to our liking. We both went with a big salad and some fried pickles. Which were equally great. I don't remember our server but they were great.

All in all I would recommend.“
