We were very happy with everything from the time we entered to the time we left and here is why…

1. Staff - all that we interacted with were very kind, nice, helpful, and attentive. Our waitress was well versed in the menu and did a great job. We enjoyed having her serve us.

2. Food - today we went right for the entree (skipped apps) and could have been more pleased.

My chicken strips and tots were done to a crispy golden perfection that I just loved with the BBQ sauce they served. Highly recommend.

My wife said her burger was excellent and the loaded tots were so good she could have had them just on their own.

And the prices were very reasonable yet, worth it.

3. Atmosphere - a sports bar with many TVs for fans to watch the game (myself included) is a perfect atmosphere for me but when you go to converse with others, it’s always perfect when nothing over powers your conversation.

By this I mean the TVs were not blaring and neither was music. It was a calm easy going feel where we both could enjoy great conversation without saying “huh? Can’t hear you.”

All in all, we may have waited a few years before trying Big E’s on Beltline in Grand Rapids but better late then never. We will be back and recommend it to anyone interested.“

“Wow! My wife and I celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary here tonight. The food, absolutely amazing! Drinks, amazing! But what I really want to rave about is how wonderful their service and hospitality was. We had a lovely hand written note at our table wishing us a happy anniversary. Multiple people told us happy anniversary. Our server, Ericka, she was real genuine and nice and at the end of our dinner she brought us a vase of flowers. This was hands down the best dining experience we have had. Thanks for making this an enjoyable and rememberable night for us.“

“The food is great, service was friendly. I got boneless wings and the chicken was nice white meat pieces, the fries are good seasoned fries. The inside of the shop is a little boring, but for all this place should be getting hype Caynes is getting (selling school lunch crinkles fries and toast like it's something) I don't get it. “We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid. We heat our home at 68 degrees and are comfortable at that temp. We have tried mutliptle visits to Leo's Coney Island this winter...and each time the dining room has always been uncomfortablly chilly. When we pay to go out to eat, dining with our winter coats on and still being cold is not a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. We gave it another try last night visiting around 5:30pm (hoping the furnace was turned up). The dining area was extremely C-O-L-D! This could be why there were not many customers there? We asked the waitress if the heat could be turned up, and she replied, "No, the only person allowed to adjust the temperature is the owner, and he is not here". NOTE to Owner: Saving money by turning down the heat in the cold of winter does not provide a pleasant dining experience for your customers and certainly cannot be good for your business! Let me start by saying if dubble wrapping an Olga sandwich stops it from getting stuck on nasty paper if you need to warm it up PLEASE keep double wrapping it. Ive noticed when there is 2 foils it doesnt stick to the wax paper when you try to warm it up. If it was just letting them cool before putting them on that wax paper wrap then let them cool. Second these olgas are cooked PERFECT TONIGHT. Just look at them. Alot of time they come uncooked, stuck in wax paper and just meh... So whoever worked on this night needs to be noticed. This was the best night ive literally ever order and ate Olgas.“

“I can’t rave enough about this place. Great portions, value is consistent with current meat prices. Friendly staff. The ribs had a wonderful smokey taste. The brisket was so tender it fell off the fork. The meat was incredibly juicy- cooked great. If you look at the photo of the brisket and see all those white dots - that’s the juice that came out of the meat reflecting in the light. The ONLY thing I have a slight problem with is the rags they clean the table with. The table was pretty sticky when we sat down. But that’s the only complaint. Go there today!!!“
