Delicious! Kind and helpful folks and the food is so good.
Had so much fun here. They had an buffet set up on the day I visited (apparently the buffet is available once a month). It had a variety of different Ethiopian dishes which were really good. They came around and served top quality coffee in these cute handleless mugs. The place was buzzing with happy Ethiopian music and the staff entertained on a small dance floor in authentic traditional attire. The dance floor was open to patrons as well. Gursha Ethiopian Restaurant offers a delightful experience for those seeking traditional Ethiopian cuisine. The menu features beloved dishes like Doro Wat, Sega Wat, Misser Wat, and Qosta, all served with the soft and doughy Injera bread. The restaurant also provides an array of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. While the wait for food can be lengthy due to limited staff, the delicious flavors make it well worth the time. Customers recommend trying a platter of various dishes and enjoying the unique experience of eating with their hands. Ample parking is available right in front of the restaurant.
Visitors are immediately captivated by the incredible aroma wafting from the kitchen, creating a truly mouth-watering experience. The atmosphere is authentically Ethiopian, and the dishes are meant to be shared and eaten with the hands. The flavors are described as great, with just the right amount of spiciness.
Despite the delicious food, some customers have noted that the restaurant has seen better days. The sign is bleached from the sun, the floor is dirty and in need of mopping, and there have been instances of dead flies near the seating areas. The service can also be slow, with long waits to order, get napkins, and receive the bill. Nonetheless, the food is consistently praised, and the coffee is highly recommended, especially for those who enjoy a strong brew.
