I absolutely love hanging out at this place. The game selection and welcoming atmosphere are fantastic! The variety of drinks and added convenience of being able to order food from their kitchen makes it even more stress-free. I will gladly support this local business while enjoying the hobby!
Every time my wife and I are in Grand Rapids we always make sure to stop by have a drink and play a couple of game or crack some magic packs. Wish we had one of these in Ann Arbor!
One of my favorite places in Grand Rapids. Friendly staff, great food, great drinks, and a giant wall of games to choose from. Cannot recommend highly enough.

They also have a wide selection of food and drinks, including plain fries, which are yummy and quite salted. The staff is super friendly and awesome. House Rules has several events throughout the weekdays and weekends, such as Drop in Tuesdays, D&D nights, and themed trivia nights. The trivia nights can be crowded, but there are plenty of TVs to view the questions from any seat. The restaurant is a popular spot, so it is recommended to make a reservation. The game library has a wide variety of games to choose from, including some from Kick-starter. However, some of the older games may be damaged or missing pieces due to daily use. The food can be a little pricey, but it is really good and comes out fast. House Rules also has a good selection of NA and bar beverage choices, including draft root beer. Overall, House Rules is a fun and welcoming environment with a great selection of games and food.
