Kangaroo Kitchen and Catering

Well, just WOW! I used KK for an event tonight (Sept 17 2025) for 50 people. I had rave reviews for the food from the guests. I had rave reviews for their presentation. After having way less than stellar experiences with another caterer, I researched and chose them. It was all fabulous & they even included nice laminated cards giving details about each item.

I hired Kangaroo Kitchen for my wedding and they were amazing to work with. The food was amazing and we received so many compliments from guests. We highly recommend them!

We couldn't recommend Kangaroo Kitchen enough! We used them for our wedding at the Ivy House and the food was absolutely delicious. We had several wedding guests come up to us after the wedding and tell us that that was the best wedding meal they have ever had! Service was excellent a well- very kind and attentive throughout the whole night. We are so thankful!

We loved our food from Kangaroo. They were so professional the entire night, bringing us our cake and holding a plate of hors d'oeuvres for us at our table so we (the bride and groom) could have them too. The food was great! I couldn't recommend them enough. Our tasting was wonderful too, they were so easy to work with!

Wonderful wedding caterer! From our first email, Ashley worked with us to put together a fantastic menu. She helped us stay within our budget and was available and pleasant to answer any and all questions.
ALL of our guests told us how good the food was and one of the servers brought my husband and I a plate of appetizers when we were signing our marriage license to make sure we didn't miss out.
The head chef- Josh and lead server- Lindsey introduced themselves to us and checked in at the end of service to make sure we didn't need anything before they left.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! I made an error in my initial catering order, Ashley & the kitchen staff went ABOVE & BEYOND to ensure we had a hot lunch for our meeting. From communication to delivery, they were in lock-step with me, to provide a delicious meal for our team. Our group raved about the flavors of every item from our buffet. We loved every bite! I chose KK&C, based on the prior reviews and solid 5-star Google rating… Which is an accurate representation of this company. As a wedding planner I work with a lot of caterers, but when my clients ask me who is the BEST, I would point them directly towards Kangaroo. They always knock it out of the park. The staff is impeccable, the food is divine, their presentation is perfect. Honestly, you won't find anyone better!

I am currently planning my wedding, and I am utilizing Kangaroo Kitchen as my caterer. Can I just say that they have been nothing short of AMAZING! Kangaroo Kitchen has five stars for a REASON! This is the absolute best caterer in Grand Rapids. We hired them for our wedding last week and we got dozens of compliments on every single part of the meal. Even the salad dressing was the talk of the wedding. Chef Roman, Ashley, and their team were such consummate professionals throughout the planning process. Day of ran so smoothly and the team that was with us checked on us regularly to make sure we were satisfied with every detail of service. If you are a bride in search of your wedding meal, I promise this is the way to go!!!

Surpassed expectation. Food and service were wonderful. Beyond that, they saved the day: my daughter's multi-tiered, giant wedding cake was preparing to take a dive. Even though the venue and bakery were chatting and trying to figure out a solution (there was none), these quick-thinking caterers jumped into action, disassembled the cake, refrigerated, and created a very lovely dessert presentation out of the top four layers (the bottom didn't survive, but no one knew). Ashley even followed up with us after the wedding by sending a pretty picture of the cake that they had taken before the tumble. In every interaction, this company went above and beyond. They are true professions and absolutely wonderful to work with. Thank you to everyone at Kangaroo Kitchen. You made the day so special!
