Leo's Coney Island Reviews
We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid.
We heat our home at 68 degrees and are comfortable at that temp. We have tried mutliptle visits to Leo's Coney Island this winter...and...read full review
chili dogs are great. now, let's get down and dirty about their biggest rip off...their Gyro. what a RIP OFF. 3 tiny pieces of processed meat, 2 Itty bitty half slices if 1 tomato slice and maybe, this may be pushing it, two teaspoons of sauce. Leo's Coney Island On Tap is a Detroit coney place with a full bar, but some reviewers felt the coney sauce was lacking. The food is generally good, with consistent menu options that include coney offerings, Greek entrees, and breakfast all day. The restaurant is very kid-friendly and offers plenty of choices, making it a popular spot near the arena. The service is outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff, and the atmosphere is casual but welcoming. The menu also features drinks, which many customers enjoy, especially with the added bonus of a beer at this location. Parking can be challenging, with paid options available. While some reviews mention that the food, like the Reuben or chili cheese fries, can sometimes be overcooked or disappointing, overall, Leo's Coney Island On Tap is considered a good value, particularly for Downtown Grand Rapids. It’s a reliable place for a quick dinner or a casual meal before a movie, with a clean environment that could still improve in some areas.
