Linear offers a stylish and modern dining experience with a beautiful view of the icy trees and river, creating a cool and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant serves New American cuisine, and while the food was good, it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. The drinks menu offered a fun variety.
The highlight of the meal was the mussels appetizer, which stood out as the best dish of the night. Everything else was enjoyable but not particularly memorable. Service was polite and friendly, but our server wasn’t very attentive, which slightly took away from the experience.
Overall, Linear provided a pleasant evening with great ambiance and decent food, but it didn’t quite reach that “must-visit” level for me.

New menu. Frequently run specials and have good variety. Big selection of wine and drinks and beer, craft beer on tap. Parking in the lot or on the street. In the past have had fabulous food. This time, the service was slow, portions were smaller and the shrimp and grits were disappointing - too salty and overcooked. Will try again sometime based on the previous great experiences

had reservations for a birthday dinner..hostess said only had this absolutely horrible table left because other ppl had reservations??? then she said we could wait..we did but then still would not seat us.. idk why but clearly some sort of shenanigans going on..apparently they decided to discriminate against us...do not go here..do not participate in a establishment that is so prejudiced on who with a reservation gets a actual reservation...doesn't matter what their food is .. had the worst experience in years at a restaurant...we went elsewhere and had a great dinner so it all worked out.. DO NOT GO HERE

Linear Restaurant right at the edge of the Grand River is a great place for a meal. Seating available indoors and patios either right by the restaurant or right by the river’s edge. The menu has an interesting and broad selection that accommodates a variety of dietary restrictions. The food was served fresh and delicious. Portions are a good size. Not so large you need to take some home or so small you leave hungry. Make a point of circling around to Linear.
Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options for appetizers, salads, and entrees
Dietary restrictions: Have a table indicating what restrictions apply to which dishes
Parking: City lot at restaurant and also metered street parking
Kid-friendliness: Would be ok, but not great
Wheelchair accessibility: Reasonable. Don’t think the doors are motorized. Decent space between tables

We had such a good time here! Decent prices and amazing food! All of us loved it! We never felt rushed, the server was great and friendly, and the drinks were top tier! We will definitely be going back for brunch again!

Over-priced small portions food was bland, I think we went on an off day seeing the reviews were all so good. We sat outside, the focaccia bread with butter was good but does cost an additional $7. No soup or salad with the meal without paying an up charge. Cheap paper menu’s. Drinks were amazing! Go for the atmosphere by the river, and great vibes with all the plants and modern upscale feel. The host was great and I appreciated that. Probably not going back. But wanted to try for over a year!
