This place is fun! Good drinks too! I had the penicillin, a whisky and lemon concoction that was delicious and refreshing. I ordered the coconut crusted mahi mahi. While everything else on the plate was tasty, 2/3rds of my fish was way overdone. Redemption came in that final 1/3rd as that was flaky, light, and delicious. It was rather dimly lit, and I thought could stand to be just a wee bit brighter, but it was a fun adventure regardless.
Every time I have been to Max's, I have had a great experience, so I love taking friends here for the first time. The drink selection is just tons of fun to explore, and all the food I have tried is delicious. I love getting to sit in different parts of the restaurant to take in all of the amazing decor! Don't miss the fish tank upstairs - there's an eel!
Very tasty!! The drunken noodles were superb, the only bummer was that you needed to sit in the lobby to be called for your table/reservation instead of being texted so you could walk around GR. Overall, really great food, fun atmosphere and friendly staff!
