This place is terrible. The price is absurd, the broth cold, and the staff colder... My fourth time eating here, and I’m done. There is plenty of mediocre ramen in GR that will fill you up, tastes better, will be cheaper, and will have everything you ordered in the bowl.
I get that you’re trying to feed hungry kids on the side too, but feed your customers first. After spending over $20 for a bowl of soup, I’m leaving hungry again.
This is the second time the additions on the soup we ordered were forgotten, and we had to go back to ask for them after our soup was cold. The people auctioning off our soup weren’t sure which bowls we ordered, and clearly didn’t care that our additions of cabbage, diakon, and bok choi weren’t on there.
They make this out to be a build your own ramen bar, sort of like a strange chipotle. The soup starts at $13-15 per bowl, but everything is ala cart. The proteins are laughably thin cut, and it’s a $4 up charge to add an egg.
I’ve really wanted to have liked this place having had ramen in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoto, and this is nothing like that.
Don’t waste your time. This place has wasted plenty of mine.

The worst ramen I’ve ever had! We tried the Kare Japanese curry , miso and Zessan and non of them are okay! They’re all greasy and flavorless! Especially the Kare curry one is disgusting! The marinaded tofu is way too salty and no other flavor but salty! Not to mention that the food is Overly priced! The staff is very friendly tho.

Came into grand rapids from Detroit Friday night, I got myself the zessan, it was by far one the the best bowls of ramen I’ve had in years, the service was so fantastic, with all the ramen bowls being very unique for an American ramen shop it’s true to culture, was very pleased with the management that night that took my order (Troy) for helping me pick my bowl and explaining the background of each soup and the stores story all around, food came out extremely fast and hot, definitely will make the trip back for another bowl in the future, only wish the seating was a bit more private.

The food is amazing! The staff are divine. Troy is so knowledgeable and friendly! Jay, Allison, Chris and Brandon made it an excellent experience! it's our sixth time here and it never disappoints. get the house ramen and pork shoulder l, it's the best!
They were a little short staffed, so had to wait a little longer but that was to be expected. When food comes out as good as it did today, I'll wait anytime. Got the Katsu Sando XL, and it is a must have. Wife said the Ramen was killer as well.

I don't know what I expected but it was so much better than I could have hoped. Bri was super considerate of my nut allergy and everyone was happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions/change their gloves/etc. Also shout-out to Francesca, Brandon, Chris G, Andres for the service & delicious food. Portions were huge! We'll definitely be back.

First off the decor is so fun and welcoming! The ordering process was easy and the employees were polite and friendly! When we sat down and recieved our ramen we were in awe! I went with my 2 sisters and all got a different kind of ramen. All 3 were incredible! There was even a staff member coming into the eating area to check on everyone! We will be back to try more delicious food!
