Stopped in for dinner and drinks. Emily is an exceptional server, we absolutely love her friendly and welcoming personality. The spinach and artichoke dip is phenomenal and the pineapple mule drink suggestion is much appreciated, as it was delicious. Highly recommend stopping in!

Drinks were good, but they missed on the food…One Twenty Three is a fun spot to meet up with friends in GR especially if it’s before a show at Van Andel or a movie next door. The ambiance is upscale tavern with low light vibes.The drinks are all craft made with tons of flavor. I had the gin drink and an espresso martini, both of which were excellent. My friend got a smoked drink and it was WAY overpowering for either of us to have more than a sip.My wife got a salad with chicken and she didn’t like it as the chicken was a bit dry. I got the risotto with lamb and the cheese was a bit overwhelming. I couldn’t get a lot lamb flavor but there was a hefty portion of risotto.I’d come back for drinks and maybe appetizers to give their food a second chance.Service was excellent

Love coming here especially as it is conveniently located in heartside-downtown Grand Rapids. They have a great happy hour with their california fries and brussels being my favorite. Servers and bartenders always really friendly and never seem impatient or flustered, great service and clean atmosphere. Burgers and cocktails are also great. Although they recently took the chicken and rice bowl off the menu which was my absolute favorite so that was a bummer. They also validate parking in the studio park ramp which was nice before I lived in the area.

Really loved the highback seats, the attention to keeping people safe and cleaned regularly. Menu was an Aztec barcode link so no multi handled menus. A class act. Just sorry we didn't come earlier. Will definitely go again. Have told all of our friends to go! The menu is so interesting it's hard to pick one thing. Always find something new and delicious to try. Update, have been here a few times now and totally love it. It is our go to place downtown.Parking: Parking is validated by the restaurant if you park in the Studio Park ramp

My girlfriend and I drove all the way from Dearborn and Southfield. It was completely worth the drive. Marques was fantastic. I had the smash burger and I’d have to say it’s up in the top 3 with no hesitation. The place is overall top tier.

We drove from Dearborn and Southfield Michigan, all the way to Grand Rapids just for the burger. The food is fantastic, you really can’t go wrong. The atmosphere is really nice, like boutique casual. Marques (our server) was exceptional. Super kind and great with recommendations. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area or if you like a little weekend drive like us.

We planned on just getting a couple of cocktails to celebrate some great news! We sat at the bar and indulged in the recommendations of our mixologist, Peter. I had the Blackberry Bourbon Sour and my husband had the Old Fashioned. Peter made perfectly balanced, nice and tight drinks. Plus, Peter was just such a pleasure and he seemed genuinely excited about what my husband and I were celebrating. He also recommended his favorite dishes on the menu...lol, which was surprisingly most of the menu. Regardless, he was spot-on with those as well. Truth be told, we just gobbled down some huge and delicious gyros from Leo's On Tap right before we went to 123 Tavern. However, we ended up ordering the Steak Egg Rolls, Perogies and the Meatloaf to go! We couldn't resist and glad we didn't because all of it was DELICIOUS!!!Dietary restrictions: They have some really good GF options!

On our trip we had a little below mediocre experience. We were greeted promptly and the host was kind!Right when the service started it was a bit uncomfortable with our server only looking/asking questions to one of us. It stayed like that throughout the entire dinner with the other person having to speak loudly in order to get the server to even look at them.My partner got the burger and the burger was tasty enough, nothing special though. The fries that he paid extra for came out staler than mcdonald’s fries 5 minutes before close. They were extremely chewy and over salted.I also never got a refill/refill offer on my drink. Then someone who wasn’t our server at all just walked up to the table, snatched it and walked away without saying anything. We were also never asked how we wanted the bills to be either so we uncomfortably paid on one card.Wont be returning. The food is ok enough but the only thing this place has going is the atmosphere. If you want friendly, sincere service and fresh food..wouldn’t recommend.
