This quasi authentic Detroit Pizza comes with a side of hipster attitude. Also, the pizza sauce is so OneNote and not worth putting on your pizza. Good try To replicate buddies pizza, but it falls far short of the mark. So weird to me that it’s so highly rated, but whatever. Different strokes for different folks, but I’ll take the buddy’s pizza, hands-down and also the antipasto salad that buddies’s had hands-down over the menu in Easttown....
Delicious! I’ve been seeing their posts on instagram for a while now and when I saw the special for the butter chicken pizza I knew I had to stop by. Definitely will be coming back for other specials and excited to try pasta on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.
We have tried Detroit style pizzas in various places and were never really wowed by the heavier bread-like texture.
This place completely changed our minds.
Dough was airy, light yet crisp and has a teeny weeny tang from the sourdough fermentation. Doesn’t feel greasy or heavy after several bites and this is how I determine a fundamentally good pizza dough.
