Went here a couple of weeks ago. Alger Heights is an adorable neighborhood. The place is quaint and clean. The theme on that Friday mornings, and I'm assuming most Friday mornings, was families; lots of strollers and happy people drinking coffee. I had the oatmeal latte and an orange scone. The drink was not overly sweet and the scone was crumbly...in a good way. Both ladies were friendly. Haven't been in the evening since I no longer drink but I imagine the vibe is outstanding.

This place is a local gem of the Alger Heights neighborhood. The cocktails are delicious and the place was clean and tidy.

My first time coming into Sip and I could not be more happy with the service and atmosphere. Angelis was so knowledgeable and very attentive to what I was looking for. Highly recommend stopping in.Parking: There is parking in the back of the building and a short walk to the coffeeShop.

I've been to Sip a few times, and it's a really chill spot for hangouts and meetings with friends. They have a nice bar seating area that looks out onto Eastern, which is really nice. On my most recent visit, I had the Apple Sage mocktail, and holy cow it was delicious! I'll definitely be back to try it again!

I love this place! While I don't drink coffee, I often get it for my wife, and she has only positive things to say. The pastries are also great! There is not much space inside, especially when busy. But I'd highly recommend stopping by!

I'm here every week studying or doing computer work, the staff and atmosphere are great. I've loved seeing this place grow over the course of the last year they've been open! This is one of the few establishments in Grand Rapids where I think everyone is welcome, and everyone actually feels welcome. I've seen the typical west-mi bible study group at a table next to proud progressive queer movers and shakers... black, white, young, old, abled, disabled... this place has really hit the mark for becoming a loved hub for connection in the community. The coffee is delicious and strong, comparable to Mad Cap. I like my coffee black and I'm just as pleased as my friends who like syrup drinks. I've heard the syrup flavors for lates are always really delicious and unique. The chai always smells amazing. For work - Fast wifi which has never gone out on me, even during long work sessions. The playlist overhead is pleasant on the times I've forgotten headphones, and their music is kept at a volume that can easily be drowned out by noise-cancelling AirPods when more focus is needed. Noise level in general is quiet enough that I've been able to hold zoom meetings without any audio problems throughout the day. Pet-friendly patio during the summers. Staff always give my pups some extra love. Menu could use some more vegetarian options, but the staff is happy to get creative when asked. The flatbreads are great, taco Tuesday is even better, cocktails are strong, heavy wine pours. Bathrooms are always clean. Long-time staff means you have an opportunity to make connections and become a recognized regular, it also means they must be treated well enough that they are loyal to the space. I can't say enough nice things about Sip!Kid-friendliness: There are often kids here, they are welcome. There is a little book shelf for them.

Sip Coffee and Cocktails is located in Alger Heights'. It's a new coffee shop and cocktail spot! Serving coffee, cocktails, and spirit-free cocktails to quench everyone's thirst. They offer local baked goods and bagels and in the evening there are warm flatbreads and dips to share with friends. Today we woke up after the blizzard and headed out to Sip coffee and cocktails to watch the world and enjoy life. What a clean, friendly atmosphere to enjoy time. We had a few different drink options and selected multiple drinks: house bloody Mary!, espresso martini, and B&G old fashioned. The cinnamon in the B&g was a very nice touch. The cherries are house made and out of this world. We also grabbed a couple of sandwiches that did NOT disappoint. That avocado bacon pickled onion on a cheese bagel combination is straight fire. The sausage egg with everything bagel is a solid choice. All ingredients are fresh and so many are house made. Great atmosphere to spend some time. Stop by and enjoy! You won't be disappointed.

Sip is the favorite spot amongst almost all of the neighbors on our block; we like to walk over for a coffee or a cocktail, depending on the time of day. Their menu is great! I do wish there was a bit more in the way of vegan fare, but I’m always happy with a bagel and dairy free latte in the mornings!
