Food was all delicious. Entrees were pretty much all protein and no sides, which was different than our past experiences at Margaux. We weren't aware we should've ordered some sides to go with our meal.
Our dinner at Margaux was phenomenal. Everything had wonderful flavor and the service was top-notch. Melissa who waited on us was so kind and took excellent care of us. Highly recommend eating here.
Nestled within the JW Marriott hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, Margaux offers an exceptional dining experience with a modern and well-designed atmosphere. The restaurant is praised for its amazing food, with the steak frites being an especially popular dish. Diners have enjoyed the Mediterranean sea bass, which is considered a must-try, along with delectable cocktails like the Strawberry Blonde and the Margaux Signature Old Fashioned. The menu also includes a satisfying Caesar salad with blackened chicken breast and shrimp, as well as the indulgent Macaroni Gratin.
The staff is consistently attentive and friendly, with many guests appreciating the polite service. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the river, and the bar area is particularly elegant and comfortable. Diners have savored a fantastic chocolate cake, mousse, or gelato with caramel sauce. The duck confit was the best, with a flavorful accompanying sauce and fresh, perfectly cooked green and lima beans. A pasta dish was also excellent. Guests have found the decor sophisticated and modern, with comfortable seating and lighting. The food is always good, and the staff, including the server Isabella and the hostess, are very cordial, making it a great experience.
