So I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito yesterday with bacon, avocado, cheese, and sour cream. And I've gotta say that was like the absolute best breakfast burrito I've eaten in grand rapids! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful too!
I went there for a quick bite to eat and I was pleasantly surprised. If you have eaten at other Tacos El Cuñado, you know that not all of them are “created” equally. Each one has a slightly different atmosphere and the food presentation and taste can vary. I really enjoyed my simple meal and the music made for a nice ambiance. The host/waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was clean and warm. I would recommend this taco place.
The place was kinda dead for 6pm on a weeknight, but I'm glad they were open. One of the better Mexican food places I've been to in GR. Great portion sizes, friendly staff, quick food and service.
They kept cautioning me that the food was spicy, but for my Texas raised mouth, it was barely peppery, not what I'd call spicy at all. (Midwestern mouths might differ!)
I had the Chicken a la Mexicana, and a side of guac. Asked for extra veggies....
