The food was very good. I've tried most of the taco places around Grand Rapids and this is one of the best. I'm sad to have just found them knowing they are going out of business at the end of April, because this would have become one of my regular spots.

Stood in there for over 15 minutes after I told it was only going to be 5 minutes . Help out the people sitting down twice and also helped another food delivery customer.

(Great tacos and burritos!)
(Service was good!)
(Great culture!)
I recently had a fantastic experience at Tacos Yanga in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This spot offers a delightful selection of Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, wet burritos, tortas, sopes, gorditas, and quesadillas. It’s the perfect choice for a quick meal, a casual lunch date, or just satisfying a craving for authentic cuisine.
The food was good! I sampled the steak tacos and a steak burrito, both of which were flavorful and fulfilling. What I appreciated most was their attention to detail; they provide onions, limes, and other tasty sides to enhance your tacos. Plus, it seems like you can enjoy some outdoor seating during the summer—a lovely option!
As for the service, it was commendable. I was assisted by bilingual staff who were eager to help with the menu, ensuring that my order was taken swiftly. The food arrived quickly and hot, which made the experience good.
The atmosphere was decent—it boasted cultural decor and phrases that brought a touch of Mexico to the dining experience. While the ambiance was satisfactory, it didn’t quite elevate the overall experience.
Overall, my visit to Tacos Yanga in Grand Rapids was highly enjoyable! It's a must-visit if you're in the area and craving some great Mexican food.

Another favorite spot of mine since they’ve opened, food is delicious and I loooooove their sopes/gorditas!! I’m always greeted with a smile and my food is always hot and ready when I show up!!
Updated review 5/6/23: 5 stars to 3 stars based on my latest and last experience unfortunately.. I won’t be returning although I stand on my previous review as none of that was ever an issue.

I usually don’t write bad reviews UNLESS a restaurant makes multiple mistakes, I am forced to ask if they have avocado bc they will intentionally not add them to the Tortas even though it’s listed as a topping on the menu. But the reason why I’m writing is bc today Sep. 25 2024 I asked “do you have avocados?” The cashier said “yes” so I’m like “ok please make sure they are on the sandwich” this is the 4th time they’ve done this and I’ve let it go but today was my breaking point. IF YOU ADVERTISE that you put certain things on/in the meal please do it. You’ve lost my business only bc this is a common occurrence even if I ask for it. I won’t recommend anyone going here.

Couldn't pay until the owner got there, got stuck waiting!
The night before they had their open sign on and then when you tried to get in they told you they were closed while they were getting ready to leave!
Good food not great service! Probably won't be back
