I was honestly devastated when Taqueria San Jose closed in Grand Rapids. I have spent the past several years looking for a place that could maybe be as good with no luck. A lot of good places, but none that had what TSJ had. Food was cold when we got it, a codiner found a hair in her food, 2 other codiners said their meat had a funky taste and was tough, took a togo order for me and even verified with waitress if it had sauce on it and she said yes, to get it home and it did not. It was like they were cooking two dinners at a time and bringing them out. Being a part of a hispanic family the food had no seasoning. No coffee or offer of ice for cans of pop and bottles of water. Had seen that there were great reviews, so 6 of us went to celebrate my birthday. Out of the 6 of us not 1 of us were happy with our meal.The steak fajita tasted like the meat was old, one of us had a long hair in ours. The beef burrito also tasted like old meat. The tamales had no favor I could go on but I the you get the point. We were very disappointed.
