“Julian’s is a treat! I’ve driven by it thousands of times. Today I stopped to try Julian’s. I was not disappointed. We went to the counter to order and were promptly given a table and table service.
The steak tacos were really good. The steak tastes like steak. The onions were crispy. The rice was so fluffy it could have floated off my plate. The beans were as good.
I had a 1/2 order (three tacos). It was more than enough. I’ll be back.“

“Great food, good service, bit of a strange atmosphere. It's set up like a sports bar, but there's these really bright overhead lights that make the vibe kind of weird. The waiter was nice and attentive. My friends got the Quesadilla Fajitas and Taquitos Mexicanos. I tried the Southwestern Taquitos and 3 tacos. Food was delicious and flavorful. My only complaint is that the tacos were on the dry side.“

“This is some of the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Grand Rapids. The service was really quick and the young lady that served me was incredibly pleasant. I had the taco Tuesday special of three tacos for eight dollars, which was a great deal. The Pastor is unreal, and they cook it with pineapple like the traditional style. I think this is the best Mexican food near me, hands-down!“

“We used El Granjero Catering for our wedding and we were blown away! Gabby was so easy to work with and helped make our day stress free. They decorated the tables beautifully and the guests loved the food! Would recommend for any event!“

“The food was great! Got a fish taco and sweet potato black bean taco. Normally I don't get sweet potato black bean tacos since I can make them at home but the ones they made had more complex flavors. Highly recommend it.

Slightly out of the way, but worth the trip if you are looking for Mexican that doesn't have to be 'the real deal '
Everybody talks about authentic Mexican food, but how about just good food?
Donkey Taqueria is a little more modern style, but the proof is in the tacos.
If the weather is good, sit outside.
Because it's a trendy joint, prices are higher than a normal 'family' Mexican restaurant - look at my menu photos
Al Pastor tacos are your failsafe choice.
BTW - Churros were actually good

“Just had Los Jalapeños at Ada Vista. Tacos were great and the quesadilla was phenomenal! Ended up giving the kiddo the taco and I finished the quesadilla. Fantastic. Would definitely eat there again next time I see them.“

“We love this restaurant! My husband is hooked on their alambre tradicional, best alambre in town. Chips are amazing and always happy with whatever new item we decide to try. I believe it is family owned, at least I usually recognize familiar faces when I am there and the service is very friendly. Would be a game changer if they served alcohol.“

“Unreal. Beyond Reproach. Staff, food, atmosphere, pricing, connection. This is by far the best experience I’ve had in 20 years in GR in a Hispanic (Mexican) influenced location. The Beltline bar is a “staple” add El Centenario and you’ll never go back. ☯️“

“Cyd was the sweetest server I've ever had. Always been given fantastic service at Beltane Bar but Cyd offered something extra that I've never had the pleasure of experiencing anywhere else. “Good local food truck with fair prices. I buy burritos from them frequently at the Fulton Street Farmers Market in GR. The meat is seasoned well, I just wish they would add more meat and less rice in their burritos. Half of my burrito was rice. Otherwise great food!“
