Service was great. Apps were worth it. Both meat dishes were not great. Steak wasn't tender at all. The other meat dish with polenta I had was so dry and hard. I don't know if it was supposed to be like that? Polenta was good though. Also, the knives were so dull. I'm not sure how this has gone unnoticed. For the price ($150+) my expectations are a little higher and left pretty disappointed.
Everything about this restaurant was perfect. If I had to pick one word for Sovengard it would be crafted. The interior is beautiful and intentional. Every table is the beast seat in the house. Ours had a leather tufted bench on one side and a velvet swivel on the other, yes, a swivel chair! The hostess was busy with several parties arriving at once, but she was warm and attentive and took care of all quickly. Cass was our server and a true professional. Her suggestions...
