My girlfriend and her friends have gone a few times and is a cool place. The security there on the weekends she has gone is great. Saturday nite ( I am pretty sure of the names) Jamie ( she said was walking around) and Matt ( was security at the door) were amazing. Very friendly and kept an eye on everything. Were on top of the place and my girl and her friends felt at ease with them watching.. They will definitely be going back feeling safe. The bull is amazing and the live music rocked. She said any questions she had Matt answered professionally and Jamie was ontop of keeping the tables clear and open for people to sit.

Very disappointing. The Twisted Bull is hands-down one of the most toxic places I’ve ever stepped into. I was called homophobic slurs throughout the night unprovoked and for no reason and my female friend experienced back-handed misogynistic comments like it was normal behavior….something I never experienced even coming from a small hick town. The fact that this kind of garbage is tolerated — or worse, encouraged — is pathetic.
This bar isn’t just outdated and unsafe, it’s dangerous. Nobody deserves to be treated with that level of disrespect, and no business that allows this kind of hate should even be operating — Grand Rapids has plenty of places where you won’t be harassed, demeaned, or called names like you’re in high school again.
The only thing they have going for them is the mechanical bull (therefore two stars)—which if you’re a man you hardly get a fair chance on and if you’re a woman you might as well be paying to perform for a crowd of creepy old men lol

Came here the other night and will not be coming back. Vibe was terrible. Music was quiet and bad, bar was silent, and drinks were expensive. They followed my friend into the bathroom to ask for her ID and then kicked her out when she didn’t show them. Do not come here - staff is very rude in general.

The atmosphere in the place itself was fun. The band was great however do not leave your card on tab. They will charge you tips even though you leave a tip when you close out your bill you will find a bunch of $2.25 charges, but all in all the place was fun. I went with a party of six one person left his card and I bought a couple round of drinks on my card and we both found these charges that we did not authorize.

We went to the Twisted Bull for the second half of our afternoon bachelorette party and it did not disappoint! We rented the mechanical bull and had so much fun! It's easy to run the juke box from your phone with touch tunes to set any mood. The bartender, Amy, was super fun and suggested good drinks and shots to try. Keith and Matt both watched over our group and made sure we weren't being bothered by anyone who shouldn't be bothering us. I highly suggest having your own afternoon party at the Twisted Bull!
