It’s a city treasure that hold’s memories and traditions for many families in the area. It was very busy today (Sat morning 10:30am) but the staff gets through the line surprisingly quickly but without making you feel rushed. The prices are absolutely amazing for the quality of product and comparable prices in the same area. My only issue when I go there is how in the world do you choose what to get! Amazing selection. Van’s Pastry Shoppe is one of the best local bakeries in Grand Rapids. The owners are incredibly friendly, everything is made fresh daily, and the donuts, pastries, and cookies are amazing. The shop has a really welcoming old-school feel, and the unique cookie jars throughout the store make it a fun place to visit. You can tell they care about quality and their customers. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Grand Rapids and looking for fresh baked goods and great service!
My go-to Donut shop! Whether it’s one or one dozen, they always have a great variety of cake and yeast-raised donuts. On Fat Tuesday, they even ran back and prepped another pan of Paczkis late in the afternoon. Phenomenal customer service from this family-run business.
