I wish I could give you zero stars. I come up to Michigan from Florida very infrequently, and I fly into Grand Rapids. I like to stop here to bowl a few games, because duckpin is a ton of fun. After this awful experience I will never return. I arrived at 9:55 (an hour and five minutes before closure) to play an hour with my friend and driver from the airport. I was able to get in and they were only going to give me 30 minutes, which I didn’t like, but I was going to be alright with just so we could bowl. As soon as the nice lady rang us up, the manager (a small troll of a man) came over and asked her to refund me. She said she wouldn’t because she didn’t see an issue with it, so he pushed her out of the way and continued to do it himself. The only thing he said to me was, “here’s a refund”, then walked away.
I don’t understand what the issue was, and why we couldn’t just get our 30 minutes of bowling in. We were customers ready to spend money for drinks and time at your establishment, but I guess he didn’t want to make money. There were plenty of other people there, so it wasn’t about them closing early. He wouldn’t talk with us or give us a good reason why he wouldn’t let us play and be done with 30 minutes before their advertised hours of business.
I don’t get to come here often and it’s such a bummer that this will no longer be on my list of places to go in Grand Rapids. I would highly recommend this business to get rid of this tiny tiny man with a clear power complex. If you do, please reach out and let me know so I might reconsider returning to your business.

Cool bar tucked back in the corner of the Amway.

The most fun you can have at the Amway Grand, aside from in your hotel room

Bowling was great. Drinks could have been better made but overall great experience

We arrived at 9:15 PM wanting cocktails and apps. It took a REALLY long time for any of the four staff to approach and we were one of only three tables with people. When they did, they took a drink order from one person out of four and then walked away. The one person ordered a cocktail and asked for a sample of a bourbon barrel aged stout. The server set a pink ish beer sample on the table and walked away again without asking for any other drinks. We left.

Duckpin bowling is super fun. Staff is friendly as could be. Location is cool. They charged me $4 for one ice cube. I didn’t know that ice could cost that much, and the barkeep did not let me know how extravagant this ice was.

Was a fun experience but it is a bit overpriced. $35/hour per lane for walk ins and $45/hour per lane for online reservations. I highly recommend looking at the bar menu or asking a server how much something cost before ordering because they managed to charge my fiancé FOUR ($4) DOLLARS for ONE large ice cube and $16 for a single pour of regular old whiskey! Definitely all overpriced for me. Not saying you shouldn't try it once to say you did it, but we personally won't be returning and would just rather go real bowling for much less cost.

Went for a bachelor party my first experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and the miniature bowling was fun!

This was my first time duckpin bowling vs traditional. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go again

It is a great place to bring kids.

Our group had a lot of fun! Service is good and the bowling is really fun. Pretty fast paced but it keeps you engaged. There isn't food to order but you can have food brought in. Full service bar with all your favorite alcohol and beer choices.

My wife isn’t a huge fan of bowling, so I surprised her with this and she actually had a lot of fun with it!

I made a reservation more than a week in advance. I received multiple emails about the reservation. When we arrived, I was immediately discriminated against- I gave the young lady my name for the reservation. She made zero attempt to let me know there was an issue, she left is standing there wondering what was going on. After some time the Assistant Manger came out to let us know our reservation was cancelled for no reason. I asked why, she said it was a “glitch” & gave no further information. She said we would be refunded, that never happened. Im sorry I’m a combat Marine Veteran- it doesn’t mean I should be refused service by your Liberal Staff. I am going to take further legal action. My lawyer has been notified & would love to take my discrimination case against your business.
