This is the second time we've been there, and it will unfortunately be the last. The first time was great for the first time. But, this time, I ordered online, and it was supposed to be order to go, ready in 20. I get there, and they haven't even started making it. I get home, and realize the chips were not the right ones, and the sandwich was made incorrectly for my little one. She did still eat it, but it wasn't what she wanted.

Ehh what a disappointment. Ordered online and was not ready a half hour after ordering. Was not greeted when I walked in. The employee was screeching and jumped back because there was a piece of bacon on the cutting board? Not really sure what that was about. Bummer because there’s no where else like this in the area.

I ordered through door dash. I paid extra for banana peppers and avocado and to upgrade the size of the soup. I am highly disappointed that so many things were forgotten. Is this because it was a door dash order???? I’m not blaming the dasher, I wish this company would put the same care into all orders

This Location is the worst! I have been visiting Big Salad for over a year. I’m not sure if it’s a black & white thing & I don’t want to believe that, however everything points to it. To the point where I have seen other black customers being treated the same way. My colleague and I were visiting this location frequently. There were mostly black staff taking care of us (they were very kind & pleasant). However, The last few times I have visited this location is what resulted in this review. I will also be reaching out to BBB & many others about the matter as well. The white staff at this location is consistently rude, condescending, & mean to black patrons. I have experienced it personally and I have witnessed this. Unfortunately when I go to Big Salad I am not dressed in suit & tie attire so I don’t always look like I am coming from the office. I’m a human services professional and advocate for marginalized individuals so I do a lot of outreach services. However in these situations, I will never not do anything. The white staff/ owners/ managers treat the black customers very rude, certain rules only apply to the black customers. I have seen it with my own eyes. For meals that include potato chips, black customers are not allowed to get the potato chips that are listed on the menu multiple times, instead blacks can only get the Fritos that are technically for the southwest Salad and they are NOT potato chips (But the owner is aware of this) the rule was enforced by the owner per the staff, who is also known as prejudice and discriminatory, per The Big Salad staff!
Again, rules like this only applies to black patrons. This is something that has went on with businesses in Grosse Pointe forever. Regardless, it needs to come to an end. Believe me when I say due to this prejudice behavior? Grosse Pointe and those businesses alike will face some serious legal issues within the next 3 to 5 years!!!!!

Make your own salad would have cost a lot more to make on my own. Was enough to split into two. pictured is 1/2 of it.

Let’s begin with the service !!! The staff here is amazing! The food, fresh and delicious. First time eating here and I had no clue what to get. The manager Christina walked me through the menu and gave me options and safe to say, she did not disappoint! She along with the rest of the staff are very friendly and polite! I stopped by after a rush and the place was extremely clean. I can tell they’re on top of it ! 10/10 I definitely recommend them.

I love the Big Salad. It's a little pricey now, but it's still one of my favorite salad places. The service is straight, and a lot of young ladies work there niw but I'd rather see them working and trying than not.

The morning manager with the skin problem was very rude and didn’t use gloves.
Always close 20-25 minutes early. This is the third time I’ve come here and there closed at 6:35
I placed an online order and received “track your order” updates. It told me they were preparing my order and what time it would be ready for pickup. When I received a text that my order was ready, I headed in. The order was not ready. In fact, they didn’t even start preparing my order. I stood and watched as my salads were prepared by a person with no gloves or hand washing prior to making them. After I received my order, I had to wait again to ask for bread. The chicken on the salad was sketchy. Pretty sure it’s frozen chicken cubes. We will never return.
