We have been eating here since they first opened their doors, literally. The food and service have always been great.
However, our takeout experience on November 14, 2025, was horrible. We ordered two Pasta Frescas, one Pasta del Estate with shrimp, and one Chicken Cacciatore.
The portion size of the two Pasta Frescas was embarrassingly small (see photos - I apologize for the messy desk). When I opened the containers and saw the portion size, I called the restaurant...read full review
The next time that you decide to close so early on a Monday because 'nobody was here', you =might= give thought to locking your front door. So that you dont, you know, DISAPPOINT anyone else who thought you were still open and walked in. I've dined in your establishment for years, and this is the first time you have disappointed me.
What a dissapointing experience. Two dishes were ordered and both were horribly bland and flavorless.

Salvatore Scallopini Italian is a charming restaurant with a beautiful and relaxed ambiance. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who go above and beyond to make customers feel welcome. The food is delicious, offering a variety of options to choose from. The Minestrone soup is a highlight, with a unique and creamy texture that sets it apart from other restaurants. One customer noted that the soup is rich and flavorful, packed with lots of vegetables. The Pasta Pollo Divano remains a popular choice, featuring a rich white sauce, thin noodles, and thinly sliced chicken. Other dishes like lasagna, shrimp scampi, Pasta Pollo Pepperone, and Chicken Francese are all praised for being fresh, hot, and well-prepared. The lasagna, in particular, was enjoyed for its tasty flavor and extra sauce, making it ideal for those who prefer less sauce. The bread is a treat, served with oil and spaghetti sauce for dipping, along with butter if desired. While the side salad may leave some wanting more, the dressing is praised. The restaurant is popular, so be prepared for a wait if reservations are not made; however, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff works hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. It is a nice family restaurant with a cozy interior and outdoor seating. Salvatore Scallopini Italian is a great choice for families or individuals looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere, and many customers express that it could easily become a regular dining spot.
