“So i've been coming to this hungry howies for about three years. My daughter is autistic, and she only eats selected foods from select places this being one of them. She's very particular about her cheese and this location nails it every time!

I just want to say that every time I come here, there's one particular kid there I don't know his name, but he is so sweet, so kind and it seems like he works his, butt off. My pizza is made perfectly every single time and every single delivery driver or anybody else I've ever came into contact with has been nothing but kind. I will forever come here! “If you're looking for a culinary adventure, try Saffron De Twah, a Morcoccoan restaurant on the east side of Detroit. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! One of his core values is giving back to the commuity through the Saffron Community Kitchen and his YouTube presentations. Did I mention he is a James Beard finalist? I will return again & again. “I didnt know anything about Soul Food, but have come here several times now. Very tasty meals and good kind service. The neighborhood is beautiful and it is easy to find by driving up Jefferson toward Pewabic Pottery, turn onto Van Dyke and just park right along Agnes. The neighborhood has one of those pretty names, too, tho sadly I have forgotten. But the food is the big deal, and the folksy service. I even got dessert as well. It is really worth the trip!“

“We tried the Detroit Pepper Company tonight, first time! We went with the Detroit Stuffed Pepper, beef with parmesan cheese. Very good taste, and huge. We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. And my wife enjoyed the Mango Tastic smoothie:-) We're happy to learn about the Detroit Pepper Company, and we'll be back. Highly recommended. A very clean take-out only place, with good food and a very friendly staff.“

“I had an incredible dining experience at Highlands Detroit, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Detroit skyline, which made the evening even more memorable. I ordered a steak along with a seasonal side, and everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were outstanding, the presentation was elegant, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out.

The service was just as impressive. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure every detail of the meal was taken care of without feeling rushed.

My tip is to make a reservation in advance and request a window table if possible. Arriving a little before sunset is well worth it so you can enjoy both the daytime views and the city lights after dark.

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“

A lot of restaurants downtown were either closed or had long waits, so I decided to give Vicente’s a try and I’m glad I did. “Rather large seating area towards the back with booths and tables. Reasonable price for breakfast in downtown Detroit. Our waitress provided quick and genuine service. She was the only one on the floor. Love the large chicken breast for breakfast and very tasty 😋 not open on Sunday.“
