“I moved to SCS 5 months ago and have never been here before. My family and I have tried carryout from several restaurants and we always end up with Gilbert’s. Great food, service & prices. I had my daughters 1st birthday in their banquet room yesterday and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out! The staff was super helpful and always around when I needed anything. The food was great, my guests raved about the pizza and spinach dip. I would book events here in the future without a doubt. Look no further for a great American cuisine menu and staff that makes you feel like family!“

First timer with all kinds of pesky dietary restriction. Vegans and Vegetarians delight. Reminds me of NYC. Food is clearly made with love and care and historical precedent. Tastes like home - wherever your home may be.

The texture and flavor balance in the tabbuleh is unmatched in metro Detroit.

“would recommend if the owner wasn't hateful towards queer people. Foods great, staff is great, but the owner felt the need to harass me for wearing an ankle high skirt and sitting with my friends. He kept insisting it was other people who had an issue with me just existing in his space when all I was doing was sitting there quietly drinking a drink. No one but him said a word about it. His wife came up trying to apologize but sat there and tried to call it "my life style choices". no one chooses to be. I didn't choose to be anything other than myself and I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone because they hate people like me. Owner claims I'm welcome only after people left because of what he said to me. He clearly doesn't realize gender expression and gender identity is a protected class here in Michigan. I was born with conditions that caused me to be very tall, and conditions that caused my hormones to be equal. several of my organs didn't form right and one died. I shouldn't have to explain this. I shouldn't be dehumanized like the owner tried to do. Bigotry almost never stops at one thing and the owner is a bigot.“

“I ordered carryout from here for lunch one day and it will not be the last time either. I ordered the sweet and sour pork to get something i usually don't. The vegetables used in the dish were fresh, i wished they were cooked a little longer but they had a nice crunch. The fried rice was freshly cooked and had the right amount of soy sauce taste to it (definitely wasn't the bulk food store fried rice different places use) and you could see egg that was used in the cooking too. As I ordered carryout I can't comment on how the staff was, but my food was done by the time they said it would be.“

So glad I did! My new favorite Italian restaurant Pizzaria!
So good! I love the pizza crust.
I can't wait to try all their pizza's & their Lasagna and meatball Sub.
Chicken alfredo pizza a 10.
Tomatoe basil pizza needed fresh basil to get a 10 but was still an 8.
I highly recommend.
Keep in mind this isn't fast food. It's Gourmet restaurant food.“

“month later and I'm just getting around to writing this review. That should tell you how memorable the experience was. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday. We picked from one of the choices of limited menus for our large group. We were seated in the most beautiful location. Service was perfection my family is still talking about how good the food was. I will definitely be revisiting.“

“Grilled Tubby's Famous sub is amazing! Everything's getting too expensive, but the prices here are a little high for what you get. However, I see they are stuffing a coupon in every sub going out the door now, so you can get at least a dollar off your next big sub.“

“Mediocre food at a hefty price. The filet I ordered was undercooked and due to being full from the clam chowder soup and bread, I didn't know until after I took it home. I fed the majority of it to my dog. The feedback I received from the owner was, "I bet the dog didn't complain." Suggestions: Train staff to have customers cut into their steak to make sure the temperature is accurate and cooked accordingly. (I regrettably should have done so anyways while I dined in) The owner definitely doesn't care about returning customers, but I will make sure to leave this review on multiple sites simply for the fact of how it was addressed with rude sarcasm. That in itself was more upsetting than the issue on hand. The owner is a bully and insults anyone who has a bad experience. I'll be contacting corporate to let them know after reading other reviews and experiences.“
