Ok. The Mac'n cheese was pretty good. You can tell that they use real cheese in it.The Wing Dings were a little over cooked. They were smothered in BBQ sauce. Which is not bad but the sauce tasted pretty generic. It was OK sauce. It was more sweet than savory BBQ.I asked for brisket since they have it in the Google review picture. It's not on the menu. The host said they were out. Next week they would have some, he said. He said that the lamb price was the same for brisket...
Hamtown is the best place to go if your looking for amazing soul food cooked fresh daily with expertise and a passion for cooking incredible food. Everything I've had from here has been delicious, even the mashed potatoes and gravy which may seem basic and underwhelming is so flavorful, smooth and rich, believe me the mash is not to be overlooked. Anything you order from hamtown will undoubtedly hit the soul food craving you have.
